Getting some 'practice' in before my case study arrives...and so much look forward to using which is a wonderful gift from ❤️ it's not been an easy journey so far by all means, but sometimes I do have to take a step back to enjoy the journey rather than strive for perfection

POSTURAL MUSCLES

Revising muscles for posture and fascinating to learn that some muscles have also a function for holding posture.

Interesting to see that most Mobilisers are on the Anterior (Front of body) and Stabilisers are on the Posterior (Back of body).

TAKE AWAY POINT: Stretch shortened stabliser muscles first in order to gain greater movement of the mobilsers.

TONIC (STABILISERS)
🧍Stronger
🧍Mainly to fix a joint to prevent movement
🧍Greater endurance due to more slow-twitch muscle fiber
🧍Tend to shorten & tighten due to faulty loading

PHASIC (MOBILISERS)
🤸create movement
🤸Can suffer from over and under use symptoms
🤸Contains more fast-twich muscle fibres meaning delivering more force within a shorter space of time (less endurance)
🤸Tend to weaken and inhibited from faulty loading

HUMAN DOING VS HUMAN BEING
Though I walk this park almost everyday, and it can seem quite mundane being in the same place all the time. But when taking a mindful moment to observe and connect with the senses, delightful things appear ❤️

I guess the same goes for life... it is easy to get stuck in the cycle of doing and we sometimes forget to be - our true core as a human being.
