Thomas is a Breathing Coach with a Sports Science and Personal Training background. Thomas' ethos and approaches to life are very simple; he has a passion to help others to find healthier and happier lives by enabling those to feel mentally and physically stronger through breathing and movement. Breathwork and in particular the Oxygen Advantage is the single most powerful and free and available tool he’s found to achieve health, happiness, and strength and he is excited to tell everyone about it! Humans are an advanced species who can achieve whatever we set our minds to, yet so many of us aren’t finding life easy. We spend many of our waking hours, stressed, anxious, distracted, tired, in pain, injured, and ill, but it doesn’t have to be this way. You can alleviate these issues by simply improving the way we breathe in order to enhance the way we feel, move and perform. We breathe between 17,000 and 29,000 times per day or 6 to 10 million breaths per year and without this autonomic function, we simply wouldn’t survive. Mastering one of the most powerful mechanisms in our body can have a tremendous impact on both wellbeing and performance and because we breathe continuously 24 hours a day the possibilities are endless. I work with a whole range of different people looking to change the way they breathe and move as learning to breathe better can benefit everyone. From people looking to feel better to athletes looking for improved performance and everyone inbetween. If you are stressed and feel anxious then you can learn to breathe light with an extended exhale to create calm and focus in any given situation or environment. Similarly, if you wish to stop snoring or sleep apnoea and wake up feeling refreshed you can learn to breathe light, slow, and deep from the comfort of your own living room. If you are an athlete, we can incorporate some simple breath-holds into your existing routines to simulate altitude training and give you an advantage during competition. Thomas’s courses and workshops are designed to empower individuals with a scientific understanding of how breathing affects general wellbeing and performance. The Oxygen Advantage methods are very effective and efficient and can be done anywhere, anytime, and integrated into your busy schedule. Awareness of your breath is important and many people have some form of dysfunctional breathing that can be corrected. I can help you by delivering a bespoke program suited to your specific needs. I coach 1-1 in person, 1-1 online, and in larger group sessions with those in the UK and around the world. Thomas lives in Devon, UK with his partner and 3 children. What Can I Expect From A 1:1? My 1-2-1 sessions give you the tools to change and adapt your breathing to improve and supercharge the way you feel, move and perform both mentally and physically. Your route to breathing yourself back to your natural, healthy state. I provide you with the tools to take control of your breath and wellbeing so you can apply them to what suits you in everyday life, be it creating calm or giving yourself an advantage over your competitors in your chosen sports. My breathing course will bring positive changes to your health and wellbeing. We will spend time together gaining knowledge of your physiology, biomechanics and biochemistry. Science tells us that by bringing awareness to your breath and breathing light, slow and deep, you can create the best version of yourself. You can change your posture, movement, and mobility, reduce pain and inflammation, and release tight and sore muscles. By breathing light you can optimise oxygen intake by managing your carbon dioxide levels and improve your recovery times during deep restful sleep. What I’ve Learned from Teaching Breathing

Over the last few years, I’ve had the chance to teach breathwork to people from all walks of life.

Athletes preparing for championships.
CEOs dealing with pressure.
Teams feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
Parents juggling too much.
People managing illness, anxiety and burnout.
And others simply looking to feel better (like they used to feel).

Here’s what I’ve learned:

1. Everyone is looking for more calm.
Even the high performers. Especially the high performers. No one feels like they have enough space, enough time, or enough time to pause.

2. Most people don’t know how they’re breathing.
Until we look. Awareness changes everything. People are often surprised how much their breathing is shaping their stress, their anxiety, their posture, their sleep, their performance and how they think and feel.

3. Small changes make big shifts.
Taking control of your breathing, rather than it controlling you. We can all do it, it just takes some practice. Nose over mouth, calm over stress, diaphragm over chest, deep over shallow. That’s all it takes to change how you feel, how you show up, and how you perform and recover.

Breathwork isn’t a fix-all, but it is a solid foundation and once you feel it for yourself, you realise how much it influences everything else.

Great to visit Equinox Bishopsgate, London this week to run a breathwork workshop for a client and some of the Equinox senior coaching team.

We explored how breath affects movement, mobility, and recovery and how to use simple, science-backed tools to improve performance on the gym floor and beyond.

Thanks to the team for having me. Always a pleasure to work with coaches who value the connection between breathing, mechanics and nervous system balance.

He's reached the 16 where he will play . A notorious mouth breather who's recently was seen sporting a nasal strip to help him breathe through his nose. Imagine what he could do with proper breathing.

Draper has shown signs of fatigue during previous gruelling matches, but his off-season work is starting to show.

One difference is his breathing.

"I had a lot of problems with my sinuses when I was younger, so I breathe a lot through my mouth," said Draper.

"When you are anxious or you have long points and have to recover quickly, it's not efficient to breathe through your mouth.

"I've been trying to reverse what I do and breathe through my nose better."

Former British number one Annabel Croft has also pointed to Draper keeping better control of his emotions.

"Jack is so much calmer on court than he ever was as a junior. Generally across the board, his calmness is quite zen-like," she told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"Lots of great champions like Bjorn Bjorg and Roger Federer have completely controlled their emotions on the court. It makes a massive difference in saving that energy."

I had an incredible evening this week coaching on harnessing the power of breathing for optimal health and performance!

Efficency and recovery are key to boosting performance for endurance athletes, and breathing does both.

Such a great turnout with over 40 people attending. Breathwork is gaining traction as people begin to understand its power.

The course is marketed as 'stunning and savage' and takes many competitors by suprise!

Breathing during Trevors cycle race is as essential as the bike he's riding and the excellent suit he's wearing from our business partner .

Optimising oxygen delivery to give him the energy required to win his race and come in 1st as a team was essential.

Not forgetting recovery and downregulating his nervous system, increasing oxygen and blood flow to cells and muscles, and giving him the best chance to recover before his next race.
