Hey everyone! 🎉 Exciting news from Wildercombe House!

Our classroom is really coming along nicely 🏫✨ We've just put up some brand new training boards on the walls 📚🖼️ which means we can now offer face-to-face training for our community care staff so we can get all together 🙌💕 Plus, we’ve got the perfect venue to make it all happen right here!

Even better, we’re teaming up with other care homes 🤝🏡 to share experiences across different settings, which is brilliant for learning and growing together 🌟 Huge thank you to Claire you’re doing a wonderful job! Can’t wait to see where this takes us! Cheers to new beginnings and smashing it! 🚀👏

Sadie Ann Willis.
It is with great sadness to announce that Sadie passed away on 27th April 2026, at the age of 88 years.
She will be sorely missed by all her loving family and friends.
Sadie's 'Funeral Service' and 'Celebration of Life' will be held on Thursday, 28th May 2026, 10.45am, at North Devon Crematorium, followed by a reception, TBC.
Donations at the service, in memory of Sadie, are for North Devon Hospice,

This week, we lost a cherished member of the IvyBae Care family. She has gained her wings 🕊️. She was a truly lovely lady, a pleasure to look after, and was deeply loved by her family and carers ❤️. IvyBae sends all our love and strength to her family during this incredibly difficult time. May you find comfort and peace. A fond farewell to Sadie, you will be missed dearly 💔.

As the Manager/Owner, I don’t always get as much quality time with my team as I’d like. But lately, thanks to a bit of an office shake-up and some wonderful new faces joining us, I’ve had the chance to slow down and focus on our annual appraisals. ☕️

​I’ve just finished over 25 sit-downs, and I can say with my hand on my ❤️ enjoyed every single one of them.

​Beyond the official paperwork, being able to grab a warm drink and truly catch up in private has been a lovely eye-opener.

Looking forward to supporting the staff who have just signed up for qualifications!

We have such an incredible team here at Ivybae Care. To my long-standing staff and all the new faces who have joined us this year thank you for all you do.

I’m already looking forward to seeing how much we grow by this time next year! ❤️

I just wanted to share something truly amazing I’ve witnessed recently. Watching Sarah at work, helping people with their hearing and foot health, has been absolutely inspiring. 👂👣 I’ve seen firsthand the wonderful difference she’s made, especially after she helped one of my lovely gents. Thanks to her, he can now hear properly and is back to having lovely conversations, which means the world to him. It’s incredible how her dedication brings such positive changes to people’s lives. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone needing support in these areas. Just felt like sharing this beautiful moment with you! 💖✨

Celebrating 4 years of excellence! 🌟

​I want to take a moment to recognise Janice, who has been an integral part of our team for four years this week. Happy 4 years Janice!!

Janice is a true credit to our community and an absolute asset to my business. She goes about her day with such kindness and compassion not just toward her service users, but also toward the colleagues she works alongside.
