Fantastic new job opportunity as PCN Pharmacy Technician - The purpose of the role is to support the PCN Clinical Pharmacists to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for, medicines optimisation, reducing medicines waste and maximising patient health outcomes from their medication. North Devon Coastal PCN are dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare across our beautiful coastal region. Our network covers around 47000 patients from three GP practices - Caen Medical Centre, Combe Coastal Practice (including Woolacombe and Combe Martin) and South Molton Medical Centre. Our aim is to work collaboratively to bring together healthcare professionals, and support teams, to improve the health and wellbeing of our local community.

We're now into the second week of using our brand-new Care Navigation Tool and improved appointment system - designed to help us support you more effectively and ensure you get the right care, at the right time.

When you call, our friendly team will ask for your details and a brief reason for your call. The more information you can provide, the better we can guide you to the most suitable appointment. Our reception team is using the new system, developed and approved by our GPs, to make sure you’re connected to the care that best fits your needs.

You might notice calls take a little longer while we settle into the new system, we thank you so much for your patience and understanding!

Repeat Prescriptions - Update

Good afternoon! We just wanted to let you know that our local pharmacies are currently experiencing high demand, so the usual turnaround time for repeat prescriptions is now around 5–7 working days.

If you're unable to get to the pharmacy or surgery, you can easily request your medication through the NHS App. You can also track the status of your prescription there by going to “View and manage prescriptions” and selecting “Your approved prescriptions” - this will show you when your item was issued. However, please note it may still take the pharmacy between 5–7 working days to process this for you.

Our local pharmacies are doing an incredible job supporting the community, so please do continue to show them kindness and patience.

Combe Coastal Practice is now using our new Care Navigation Tool and appointment system to help us better support you.

When you call us, our team will ask for your details and the reason for your call. Please try to give as much information as you can as this helps us make sure you're booked into the right type of appointment. Our reception team will use the new system, which was developed and approved by our GPs, to guide you to the most appropriate care based on your clinical needs.

You may notice that calls take a little longer than usual at first, thank you for your patience while we get used to the new system. We’re confident that in the future this will help reduce the early morning rush and make it easier for everyone to get the care they need.
