Each year, the NHS wastes approximately £300 million on unused medicines in England. A significant proportion of this waste is avoidable, often arising when patients routinely order more medication than they need. Every pound spent on wasted medicines is a pound less available for delivering vital NHS services.

This picture shows some of the medications found in a Patient's home that had not been used. The total cost to the NHS for this medication was £145.35.

🚗 Polite Notice Regarding Car Park Use

We kindly remind everyone that the car parks at all three of our surgeries are privately owned and are strictly for the use of our staff and patients. At Woolacombe Surgery, this also includes churchgoers.

We ask that all visitors are mindful of this and comply with these guidelines. Our car parks are not free for general public use or for any other purposes.

At our Ilfracombe Surgery, we have recently had the car park resurfaced, and line marking was scheduled to take place today. Unfortunately, due to vehicles being parked on the premises without authorisation, this work has been unable to go ahead as planned.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our car park accessible at all times including the weekends.

Thank you for your understanding.
