🌟 We’re Hiring: Activities Coordinator (Full-Time) 🌟

We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team. If you enjoy planning meaningful activities and making a real difference in people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, plan, and deliver a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings
• Provide person-centred activities tailored to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of participants (this is a key part of the role)
• Produce posters, newsletters, and activity information
• Ensure all supplies, equipment, and staffing are organised for activities
• Manage the monthly activities budget
• Maintain accurate records of activities and attendance
• Work closely with the team to provide meaningful and enjoyable experiences

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Must be computer literate
✔ Understands the importance of person-centred care and activities
✔ Has strong organisational and planning skills
✔ Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
✔ Is creative and enjoys developing engaging activities
✔ Shows empathy, patience, and enthusiasm
✔ Works well as part of a team

Job Details:
📍 Seaview Haven - Ilfracombe
🕒 Full-time – Monday to Friday
💷 £12.21 per hour

Successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check and provide two references.

The Food Hygiene Inspector popped in for a surprise visit — and we’re so proud to share that our incredible kitchen team received a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star rating!

Our team works tirelessly behind the scenes, and this recognition truly reflects the care, dedication, and high standards they bring every single day. Most importantly, it shows our commitment to ensuring our residents enjoy the very best, safely prepared, delicious meals.

From sunshine to rain.
We've enjoyed pamper and craft time and celebrating some very special birthdays.

We recieved an email last week to say that we have been nominated for Care home of the year, in the South West.
Well done to all our incredible staff who work tirelessly to provide a happy, safe home for our lovely residents.

June's activities included trips out to the harbour and along the coast in the community bus, lfracombe beer festival, Bicclescombe park and Ilfracombe life boat station
Baking, crafts, fathers day celebrations, our lovely Star the therapy dog visited, Shaun and Dave came to sing to us, thank you both.
We celebrated the Kings birthday, with lots of conversations about the King and memories of the Queen.

Country of the month was America, we had a barbque on the patio area in the sunshine 🌞

Preparing and celebrating VE day, an outing to valley of the rocks, birthdays and a visit from star the therapy dog

Another fun filled couple of weeks
We've had lots of visitors and activities.
Started the month with an outing to the steam railway and old station inn for some of our residents, on the community bus.
Grand national celebrations, wine and cheese evening and an Easter service from the church.
Our good Friday party with Sean Nicholson providing us with his wonderful singing and musical excellence was a huge hit. Thank you Sean for interacting with the residents.
Easter Sunday baking and lots of chocolate.
National "Earth" day discussions and a St George's Day indoor street party.
Today we finshed this week off with a visit from Becky who Presented us with " A spoonfull of sugar" the Julie Andrews show.
Her voice was beautiful and the residents had a fabulous time singing along. She even managed to get our lovely Chris up for a duet
