🙋‍♂️ Our patients have been asking us why our check in screen doesn’t tell them which waiting area they need to be in!

🖥️ We listened to this feedback and have since had our system upgraded. The check in screen in our waiting room will now tell you which waiting room you need to be in (Upstairs or Downstairs)

⏳ We will also shortly be adding a notice board to our waiting room to let you know what room and level each clinician are on, just in case you miss the note on the screen.

🚷 In July, we had a total of 101 appointments that went unused because patients did not attend or let us know that they could no longer make it.

🗓️ Sometimes plans change, and you may no longer be able to make your appointment. But it's very important that you let us know, as your slot could be offered to someone else who needs our care.

🪧 Junior doctors in England are set to strike from Friday 25th July 2025 to Wednesday 30th July 2025.

🗓️ We have contacted all patients whose appointments have had to be cancelled.

As you may already be aware, there is an ongoing national outage across UK telephony services. This is also affecting the practice's ability to some reach patients by mobile or landline phone. If we are unable to reach you for a phone appointment, we will send you a message and ask you to contact us to rebook your appointment. Our apologies for any frustration, however this is completely outside of our control.

Several major phone networks in the UK appear to be down following a major outage.

🪧 Junior doctors in England are set to strike from Friday 25th July 2025 to Wednesday 30th July 2025.

🗓️ The strike will commence at 7am on Friday 25th July 2025 and conclude at 7am on Wednesday 30th July 2025. This action follows a renewed mandate for industrial action announced by the British Medical Association (BMA).

👨‍⚕️ Arthur Medical Centre are proud to be a training practice for postgraduate doctors (Registrars) who have worked in hospitals and are gaining experience of general practice. Registrars are part of this group of junior doctors who the BMA have called to strike.

‼️We currently have three Registrar doctors who are taking part in industrial action, which leaves us with no choice but to cancel patient appointments as we will not receive any support for this lost resource.

📲We will contact patients who are affected by this industrial action – if we do not contact you, please assume that your appointment is unchanged.

🙏Whilst we understand that this will be frustrating for patients who are affected by the strikes, we do ask for your understanding and patience as any disruption is outside of our control.
