Imagine what would happen if no-one every allowed traffic to merge into different lanes when necessary - total chaos. Some sort of compromise is useful and being flexible in thinking and behaviour is a really powerful way adapt and change.

Can you imagine what would happen to a tree in gale force winds if it didn't flex as the gale raged? Or a high rise block of flats that didn't move in the same gale force winds?

The ability to 'move naturally', be a little more flexible and adapt is a useful strategy. You can read about how to become more flexible in our blog series on that very topic.

Have you been noticing that people are saying they are fatigued lately ? Have you noticed yourself feeling fatigued?

One explanation seems to be that the context we are all living in continues to be changing. Dealing with change and uncertainty can lead to feelings of fatigue.

So what can we do ?

A good start is to review your priorities - take stock.

Consider what is still a priority for you and what you could let go of to create more space for yourself.

Practising the art of flexibility can be really useful as you consider your choices and priorities right now.

1. Feed your mind with things that support you and generate thoughts that are positive. Don't like the news? Don't watch it.

2. Free your mind by getting good quality sleep, meditation, gardening, walking outdoors, listening to music

3. Focus your mind by doing one thing at a time, set a positive intention for the day and set out to achieve three things.

1. Feed your mind - do this by paying attention to what you pay attention to! Remember the computing phrase 'garbage in - garbage out'?

2. Free your mind - replace negative thoughts with ones that are more supportive and uplifting, get a good nights rest and be kind to yourself

3. Focus your mind - do this by choosing your mindset, do one thing at a time and set out to achieve 3 things each day, no matter how small.
