With the recent restrictions brought in due to COVID-19 I am not able to see clients personally at this time but do understand that many people may be feeling anxious, frightened or concerned about the immediate future. A lovely review from one of my clients:

“I began to suffer from anxiety in 2016 which slowly began to increase eventually becoming life altering. I didn’t know where to turn as I didn’t want to go down the medication route. I decided to give hypnotherapy a try hoping to get some help to master the problem I had.

I decided on Philippa after a week of thorough research, I am so glad I did. Philippa was absolutely fantastic, kind, understanding and in no hurry to rush out the door. I don’t drive but when I first spoke to Philippa she offered to see me at home. I started with 6 sessions. Believe me when I say nothing is simple where I am concerned I am not, to say the least, an easy subject.

Following my sessions with Philippa I can now manage my anxiety, to be honest it is no where near the level it once was, and the coping mechanisms Philippa taught me are readily used should I feel that I need a top up.

I can only say if you are just starting out on the hypnotherapy route, please don’t hesitate to contact Philippa your life will be turned around for the better.

My tips for a stress free Christmas are:
~ take time for yourself
~ enjoy the build up to Christmas and don’t put too much pressure on the day itself
~ don’t try to do “too much”
~ take a winter walk, exercise is a great way to relieve stress
~ ask for help

Dogs, cats and other pets help humans reduce stress. Studies show that interactions with animals can decrease stress in humans. Playing with or petting an animal can increase levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decrease production of the stress hormone cortisol.

Today is World Mental Health Day.
1 in 4 adults experience mental health problems in their lifetime.

So many people are afraid to speak out about mental health issues. It’s time to change this and enable people to see that there is light at end of the tunnel and provide help and support in their journey.

Mental health problems can affect anyone, at any time of the year. Just because it’s not visible, doesn’t mean it’s not being experienced.

There shouldn’t only just be one day a year for raising awareness. There are opportunities everyday for all of us to support and help family, friends, colleagues, employees and indeed anyone who is suffering in silence.

We can all make a difference.
