My top tip to share with the world - Anne Andreiux.

"Listen without judgment. That’s the message I try to share with every young person I work with. If we can create a culture of empathy from a young age, the world will be a kinder, more compassionate place in just a generation or two.” 🌍❤️

If your child needs someone to really listen—without judgment—I’m here: https://www.thegrovetherapy.co.uk/contact

What I do for relaxation - Anne Andrieux.

"To relax, I… still spend time with children! Working as a French assistant keeps me connected to the energy, humour, and honesty of young people—it’s so refreshing. I also cook (because, yes, I’m French!) and go walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales to recharge.” 🥖🌳👟

My top book recommendation for parents - Anne Andreiux.

"I always recommend Dibs in Search of Self by Virginia Axline. It tells the powerful story of a withdrawn young boy who transforms through non-directive play therapy. It’s moving, inspiring, and reminds us how healing a safe therapeutic space can be for a child.” 📖✨

Why I specialise in children & young people - Anne Andreiux.

"Working with young people is my passion. I believe early therapeutic support can give children the tools they need to thrive—saving them years of struggle later in life. When they feel heard at 7, 10, or 15, they grow into empowered, self-aware adults. That’s why I do what I do.”

What motivated me to become a therapist? - Anne Andreiux.

"Before I was a therapist, I was a journalist and French assistant—and people would open up to me in ways they never had before. My own experience in therapy helped me realise this was my path. Now I’m doing what I love: supporting children and young people to feel heard, safe, and valued.”

My top tip to share with the world - Lesley Pollard.

"Stop focusing on what everyone else is doing. So many of us live for others—trying to look or act a certain way to please them. In therapy, I help people focus inward and reconnect with what really matters to them. That’s where the healing begins.” 🌿🧠

My self-care practices - Lesley Pollard.

"Running through nature, yoga, meditating, walking my dogs, and reading—these are the things that recharge me. Being out on the trails with my dogs or diving into a good book helps me stay grounded and calm.” 📚🐾🌳

My top therapy recommendations - Lesley Pollard.

"I always recommend ‘Maybe You Should Talk to Someone’ by Lori Gottlieb—it’s real, insightful, and shows the power of therapy. I also love Julia Samuel’s work on grief, and the podcast by Dr Rangan Chatterjee for inspiring mental and physical health insights.”

My specialism in therapy - Lesley Pollard.

"I work with adults who’ve experienced emotional neglect or hardship in childhood. That includes people who grew up feeling invisible, unsupported, or not ‘good enough’. I know how that can shape your life—and I also know healing is possible.” 💔➡💛

You don’t have to carry it alone. Let's work through it together: https://www.thegrovetherapy.co.uk/contact

A very warm welcome to Senior Clinical Psychologist Claudia Salt who is joining our team from the end of May.
Take the floor Claudia……

‘Hello. I’m Claudia. I am an independent Senior Clinical Psychologist specialising in providing psychological assessments and therapy to children, young people up to age 19 and their parents or carers.

I have worked with children and young people experiencing mental health problems or who are neurodivergent throughout my career. When I qualified, I worked in CAMHS in the NHS, before combining this with private practice in 2019.
The areas I work with include: anxiety, depression, low mood, OCD, panic, phobias, low self esteem, behaviours that challenge, bereavement and loss, adjustment following stressful life events or trauma, managing change and transition, neurodivergence and post diagnostic work.
- I work with children and young people individually.
- I also work with parents and carers.
- I provide consultation to other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team approach.
Building trusting, affirming, collaborative and empathic therapeutic relationships with the children, young people and parents/carers I work with is central to my approach.
I am registered with various private medical insurance providers.

Please contact me for a no obligation conversation about how I might work with you or your child/young person. I provide a free 15 minute initial telephone consultation.
Sessions are available face to face or online’
