We've had a great response to our Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification announcement! The first course will be held on Monday 10th June. We'll schedule additional dates if there's enough interest. The cost is £55 per person, which includes lunch.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. Having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff!

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first-aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will
be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

As a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.

🚨 National Measles Update 🚨

Recent data from October 2023 reveals a concerning rise in measles cases across England. Since then, there have been 1,023 laboratory-confirmed cases, with 89 new cases reported just since 4th April 2024.

📊 Breakdown by region:
West Midlands: 51% (520 cases)
London: 23% (232 cases)
East Midlands: 9% (92 cases)

👶 Age group affected:
64% (652 cases) in children aged 10 and under
29% (295 cases) in young people and adults aged 15 and over

📈 Recent 4-week stats:
Newly confirmed cases: 195
London: 35% (69 cases)
West Midlands: 32% (62 cases)
East Midlands: 12% (23 cases)

The surge initially stemmed from a large outbreak in Birmingham, which has since stabilised. However, we're now seeing an increase in London and smaller clusters in other regions.
