MenB needs close and prolonged contact to spread, such as living in the same household
or intimate contact such as kissing or sharing drinks and vapes.

It is not as contagious as other infections like measles or COVID-19.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries regarding the Meningitis B vaccination.

Children born after August 2015 will have been offered the vaccine. Under the current NHS immunisation schedule, Patients born before this date are not currently eligible for the Meningitis B vaccination.

Please note we do not offer private vaccinations for Meningitis B. This can be sourced elsewhere at a cost. We are unable to provide advice on sourcing private Meningitis B vaccinations.
