Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Release by Louise Mockford. If you are looking for a Therapeutic or Deep Tissue massage , or Myofascial Release in the Blackdown Hills then look no further!
If you are suffering from chronic pain, whether muscular, or from injury for example, then I use various techniques to get to the root of your problem and treat it at its cause. I am a qualified and registered Bodyworker, having studied the Complete Bodyworker Diploma with the very highly regarded School of Bodywork achieving a Distinction for all parts, and the Advanced Myofascial Release Diploma as well as various Deep Tissue and Scar Tissue Release courses. I am currently adding even more skills to my toolkit, studying the Remedial Massage Diploma which looks even further into injury and how to treat effectively.
I have a particular interest in how the body stores trauma, whether physical or psychological as they are both very closely linked, but I am also motivated by helping anyone to be free from pain and there is nothing better than seeing someone walk out of the treatment room feeling more comfortable than when they first stepped in! So often, I see people who come to me with chronic pain that they have due to an underlying reason that hasn’t been connected before, for example, a difficult labour, or car accident, where the body (in particular the fascial system) has stored this trauma. Another area of great interest to me is Scar Tissue work - there if often so much more to scar tissue than what you can see on the skin and it creates massive changes within the tissue, often having a knock on effect to the rest of the body.
I am also an Equine Massage and Myofascial Release Therapist.
