Supporting independence is at the heart of what we do 💙
We take residents out shopping, a walk around our lovely little town, a visit to the local for a coffee or maybe a glass of beer! Encouraging choice, confidence, and everyday life skills. From picking out their own items to handling money and interacting with others, these small moments make a big difference in building independence. A visit from two beautiful little dogs or maybe just a cup of tea and a quiet chat or relaxing after a Reiki session.
It’s about empowering individuals to make their own decisions, maintain life skills, and feel connected to their community. 🌟

We had a visit from the amazing Twinnies Petting Farm on Tuesday! What an absolute treat 😊 Their knowledge, patience and compassion when sharing their baby lambs and rabbits with our residents was beautiful! An afternoon of cuddles, laughter and enrichment ♥️

A huge shout out to the amazing team at Hazelwell Lodge! Our entertainer let us down 2 hours before our party on Good Friday! Did we panic! NO (maybe just a little) Out came the karaoke and up stepped our team 🤗 we had a wonderful party with staff, residents and family members providing the entertainment. So proud and happy for the beautiful memories created 🥰

What an amazing Easter at Hazelwell Lodge ! First of all a HUGE thank you to Ilminster scouts for their beautiful handmade cards and flowers! Our residents loved them 😊 We also had a coffee morning, celebrated birthdays and created some beautiful floral arrangements! A little cooking and lots of special moments ♥️ we also had a party on Good Friday! This deserves its own special post! Thank you to everyone that made these special memories possible 🤗

Michelle’s journey has been truly inspiring, growing through a variety of roles to become our Deputy Manager. Her experience, knowledge, and calm, patient approach make her an invaluable support to both the manager and the entire team.
