Reminder- Disruption to service Tuesday 22nd July

DISRUPTION TO SERVICE - TUESDAY 22nd JULY

A server upgrade for the Health Centre computer system will take place on the above date. This will result in some disruption to services and the Practice will therefore be providing an Emergency Only service on that day.

Patients are asked to avoid contacting the Health Centre that day if at all possible. However patients who feel they have an immediate need for medical attention should call the Health Centre as usual.

No repeat prescription service will be available on Tuesday 22nd July. Patients are asked to check their Stock of medications and make an early request if necessary.

If you’ve received a call from an 01896 807 8XX number you don’t recognise – it could be the NHS Borders Pharmacy Team working on behalf of your GP practice.

Our pharmacy staff might give you a call from an 01896 807 8XX number (even if your GP practice has a different area code) to check your medicines after you’ve been in hospital or at a clinic appointment.

Please don’t ignore their call – they just want to make sure everything is accurate, update your GP records about your medicines and make sure that you have everything you need.

The Borders General Hospital is currently at full capacity, with a number of people awaiting admission. Please only visit the Emergency Department for **life-threatening** emergencies. If you do need to attend, you should expect to wait longer than usual to be seen.

For all other health concerns, please help us by seeking the right care in the right place such as at your local community pharmacy, general practice or call NHS 24 on 111 out of hours.

We are aware that some patients are currently unable to log in to Patient Access. We have been advised that this is being investigated with high priority. In the meantime patients currently unable to use Patient Access can request prescriptions either by handing in a written request to the health centre or pharmacy, or can visit our website below and fill out a prescription request form.
