During school and beyond I have always had a passion for fitness and health and well-being. I have a BSC in Sports and Exercise Science, HND in Sports Coaching, PGDE in Physical Education and Level 3 in Personal Training to mention a few of my many qualifications. My purpose has become to share my knowledge and expertise with others to improve all aspects of their health so they can become they best version of themselves.

From next week your Friday morning classes will look a little different. Rachel is taking over some of Terry's classes, whilst Terry gives palliative care to one of her dogs.

Starting Oct 10th your Fridays will look like this

10.15 Body Blast. A body weight specific exercise class targeting all the major muscle groups 💪

11am Stretch with Rachel. Wind down the week with some mobility and stretching to set you up perfectly for the weekend 🙏

Bring your own mat if you have one, we do have some to borrow if you don't. No other equipment is needed.

I have been enjoying leading the Wednesday junior run group. The participants are full of enthusiasm. We have been doing pacing exercises, a run based running form and technique circuit, sprints, drills and lots more. We still have space for a few more to join us so please do get in touch if you want your youngster to give it a try.

As I get older and I have come to realise how precious life can be, I am on a real mission to live and make the most of mine. When I was asked to join in on an adventure to the Dolomites to complete the AV2 route, I questioned if I had enough experience, If i would cope with the exposure and if I could leave my family behind for a week.

I knew that it was going to be a life changing and unforgettable experience with some truly inspiring, skilled, strong yet kind hearted females. How could I say no. So I said a slightly nervous yes and began preparing myself for the unknown.

As always Derek was fully supportive and selfless in letting me go. He did a fantastic job of juggling work, the kids and the pets without complaint, which I will be forever grateful for.

We travelled light allowing us to move quicker covering what usually takes 14 Days in only 6. With a huge amount of elevation and distance over roughed and in places quite extreme terrain.

The main thing I learnt from embarking on the trip were;

- That we are always more capable than we give ourselves credit for!
- Don't let fear get in the way of opportunities. It is only the people who push past their limits who get to know how unlimited they really are.
- Surround yourself with people you can look up to and learn from.
- half the possessions we own we really do not need.
- Washing is overrated.
- Live your life!

I hope I can inspire you to become an adventurer and do more of what you love doing. For me I have never felt more at home than when I am in the mountains. Thank you Ros, Katie, Sarah, Katie P and Marie for making the trip so memorable.

I have finally got round to setting up a Junior Running session. My aim is to start small and hopefully invest in building this group including more age groups, opportunities and coaches. Getting children more active and finding joy in movement and running is a cause close to my heart. Currently only 10 spaces available so if you are keen get in touch quick.

I am currently reading a book by Dr. Daniel Amen called Raising Mentally Strong Kids. It is quite brilliant and had a really profound impact on my own thinking. I just had to share his fantastic work!

Even if you are not a parent go and check out his resources. I love his ANT acronym (Automatic Negative Thoughts). It is believed that 80% of our thoughts on a daily basis are often negative with many causes such as evolution, stress, upbringing etc. By identifying and challenging those thought's you will be better equipped to reserve your energy for the positives, make better decisions, be kinder and resilient, have better focus and motivation and healthier relationships. Hey Folks,

As the nights are drawing in, I thought I would highlight, that I am running a circuits class on a Thursday Evening 7-745pm at the Bennachie Leisure Centre. For anybody who used to attend the Running Specific Strength Training class this new class would be ideal to continue working on that all import strength component. However it's open to everyone! Circuits is a great way of providing the body with a full workout in a short amount of time making it a very efficient way of training.
