As we approach the end of another year, we want to sincerely thank all of our customers and families for placing your trust in us. It is a privilege to support you during some of life’s most difficult moments ❤️

We know that Christmas can be an especially emotional and challenging time for those experiencing grief and missing loved ones ❤️‍🩹 Our thoughts are with each of you, and we hope you find moments of peace, comfort, and gentle remembrance this season 🌟

We would like to wish everyone a peaceful and meaningful Christmas.

Please note that we will be closed over the Christmas period and will reopen in the New Year (5th Jan)

From the middle of November, shops, media and advertising collude to convince us that Christmas is magical, full of joy and fulfilment. Cares are banished and laughing children reinforce the message that sadness and anxiety have no place in the festivities.

Thank you to Maree for sharing these photos of the beautiful memorial she designed with her daughter Chloe 🥰

They opted for a large teardrop shape in a light grey, with a chamfered edge to soften the look while adding an elegant finish. The memorial was further customised by adding a deep carving of three birds on a branch. Resulting in beautiful bespoke design and tribute for Graham ❤️💧

We installed this very large memorial recently. Big thanks to Steve & family for sharing the photos.

This was a large version of our Wick design that covers two side by side lairs. A combination of Chinese characters and English text was used with the Chinese characters being a dominant feature on the memorial. The memorial was further personalised with two large portrait black and white ceramic photos ❤️

A bit of a change of scenery today. My daughter’s school have careers week this week. This afternoon I went along to their open afternoon to talk about being self employed and what we do at Mackay’s. Such a lovely bunch of kids … I am bit biased 😉🥰

This is a free service that a local funeral director offers. So often we have spoken with families who don’t know what their loved ones would want once they pass, this could avoid so much of this ❤️

Thank you to Rose and Duncan for sharing these photos.
This is the Lochcarron memorial that has been personalised with the addition of a beautifully hand painted corner red rose design. Duncan also sourced a very cute cat ornament that we secured to the base of the memorial, a special addition for his late wife ❤️🐱🌹

Thank you to Anne and her family for letting us share these photos of a recent memorial we installed for them along with a vase that we restored.
The family opted for the additional sub base to ensure the memorial sits above the ground while also providing some protection to the inscription on the base.
The vase was placed to mark the passing of baby Ralph back in 1967 but is now looking brand new again ❤️

These are photos of a recent raised lead lettering job we did.

Raised Lead Letters are proud of the surface of the stone. Holes are drilled into the surface of the stone, then lead is beaten in to the cut letters and holes. The lead left on the surface is then cut by hand to produce the letters.

The last inscription was added to the stone and the rest of the memorial restored. Making the memorial look brand new 😊👍🏼
