THE PARENT HUB

NHS Highland have launched 'The Parent Hub'. This resource has been created to improve communication between the NHS Highland Health Improvement team and parents and carers. They want to work with you to improve the health and wellbeing of all children across Highland.

SEXUAL HEALTH SCREENING

We now offer free, confidential, online sexual health screening for all our patients at Crown Medical Practice.

You will not be asked to provide any identifiable details. At the end of the questionnaire you will be given two unique numbers which you will need when you contact the practice to request the recommended screening tests.

Please note - the sexual health screening tool can only be used if you have no symptoms. If you do have any symptoms like a change in bleeding, pain, urinary symptoms, discharge or rash please make a GP appointment for review instead of using this screening tool by calling our reception team on 01463 214450.

JOB VACANCY

Crown Medical Practice is seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our friendly primary care team, with experience in dealing with the public and who is capable of working across all aspects of practice administration.

Previous experience of working in a medical practice would be highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided and finding the right person to fit in with the team is more important.

COMMUNITY CHAPLAINCY LISTENING SERVICE

As of the 23rd of July 2025, the Community Chaplaincy Listening Service is back at Crown Medical Practice. Sessions will be held on Wednesday mornings once a fortnight.

Please speak to a clinician if you think you would benefit and would like an appointment.

We are having problems with Patient Services our online prescription ordering service this morning. We have reported this. If you require a prescription please order this at the practice or through your usual pharmacy. Please do not phone the practice to order medication as we are unable to take requests over the phone. Apologies for this.

Home Energy Scotland offers free impartial advice and support to help you make your home warmer, reduce your energy bills, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. Their service is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Energy Saving Trust. The primary focus is on tackling fuel poverty and the climate emergency.

They do this by giving people clear and impartial advice on making their home cheaper to heat, as well as reducing their carbon footprint.
