Hi Folks - Just wanting to share a resource I have developed recently through my Optometry-Evolution sideline. A Patient's Guide to Cataract Assessment and Surgery. This 24-page downloadable booklet gives a balanced and comprehensive account of what is involved when patients are referred for their cataracts. It reviews the pre-op assessment and how to prepare for that. It explains what is involved with surgery, the aftercare period and possible risks of surgical complications. It will allow patients to go through this whole process really well informed and hopefully support positive outcomes.
Huge thank you to Chantelle at Jamfrog Design near Inverness who has made this guide really engaging and incredibly user-friendly!
It can be downloaded from the website for less than a price of a coffee and will hopefully prove really beneficial!
Please share with any friends or relatives who might benefit from this, and for any eye-care friends and colleagues, please feel free to share this new resource with patients to enhance their cataract care.
Thank you!
Best wishes
Stan

Hi folks - just wanting to share an update with everyone. I have recently moved role to an Ophthalmology provider in Ireland from my NHS role in Inverness. I am glad to say that my Optometry Evolution educational service will be continuing in partnership with my new employer, The Institute of Eye Surgery. We are hoping to develop this educational work which is exciting, so will provide further updates in due course! Best wishes
