CLARE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David George Clare, who left us peacefully whilst in the care of the Highland Hospice on 25th September 2025 at the age of 86. Formerly Section, then Group Manager, Deck Assembly, McDermotts, Ardersier; beloved & cherished husband of Yvonne, devoted & much loved dad of Lisa and Paul, supportive and caring father-in-law of Alison and David, treasured and proud grandad of Kian, Tyler, Shaun, Alehya, and dear brother of Ruth and Audrey, will be missed deeply and remembered with much love and gratitude. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind - a legacy of love, generosity, and a can-do attitude. Forever in our hearts, David - your love lives on in every one of us. Rest in eternal peace. Cremation private at his own request.

Following on from James' recent exam success we would like to express our appreciation and thanks to a wonderful member of our team, Iain, who has been part of the JFS family for 17 years. Over the past three years Iain has been a steadfast support to James, mentoring him throughout his studies, every step of the way. It's been a real pleasure to watch James grow in knowledge and experience under Iain's careful guidance. Thank you Iain for all that you have done to support James - and for all that you do for our families daily.

There's a new embalmer in town!......
We are over the moon to share the news that James has successfully gained a Diploma in Embalming, awarded by the International Examinations Board of Embalmers and has subsequently been granted membership into The British Institute of Embalmers. This has been quite some journey over the past three years with five theory exams, each two and a half hours long, over 40 practical assessments and two final practical exams. We are both proud and delighted in equal measure - Congratulations James, your success and achievement is thoroughly deserved.
