Yesterday morning was all time wonderful! I set off on my bike before 8 and could already tell the sky was going to be beautiful. I had that exited anticipation as I rode across the bridge. How fantastic and glad I was as I watched this unfold. And diverting my gaze from the main show of light to the west was a beautiful moon surrounded by soft pink clouds. And following this I met my friends for a gravel ride which turned out to be such a lots of laughs!

All in the space of 24hr as very cold temperatures cause widespread hoar frost. Then as the red morning sky came it was a signal for temperatures to begin to rise! And the shift was from -14 in Aviemore or -8 Inverness to +11 within 6hrs as a warm wind blew

Last week in Torridon and it was mild and pleasant- how different exactly a week later! I was lucky with the moon shot as I waited for a break in the clouds and grabbed 2 shots where it was unobscured and the tip of the mountain Liathach was illuminated at sunset. In the morning it was calm and peaceful in contrast to later in the day when the wind became quite strong.

Yesterdayā€™s pre sunrise from the kessock bridge. The colour intensity was amazing and it was like nature was trying to out do the previous nights fireworks display. And it succeeded! Thereafter I enjoyed autumn colour in the forest
