Another strong delivery by our Operations Team just proves the right people are in the right position unlike previous managers, on Thursday evening our Security Operations Director Christina C McDonald received a last-minute request for urgent asset protection, with deployment required within hours. The task was promptly assessed, resourced, and successfully implemented without delay.

From early Friday morning, we have a static officer in place providing asset protection from 0200hrs to 0900hrs, continuing until further notice, in response to an insecure venue requiring a constant security presence. In addition, we have an officer deployed at a hotel providing asset protection and residential safety duties due to a broken fire exit, a situation that has been in place since well before Christmas.

Where an officer is working alone in a venue, as part of our lone worker policy, they are issued with a 4G radio. This ensures continuous communication with our Control Room and response drivers, providing immediate assistance if required. Our state-of-the-art staff app also conducts hourly check calls and automatically alerts Control if any check is missed, further safeguarding staff at all times.

Highland Security Ltd is urgently recruiting Door Supervisors to work at venues in Inverness. We are looking for reliable, professional, and SIA-licensed individuals to join our team as soon as possible.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for maintaining safety, security, and order at licensed venues while providing a professional and customer-focused service.

Key Duties
• Control and monitor venue entry
• Carry out ID checks and bag searches
• Manage crowd behaviour and de-escalate incidents
• Respond to emergencies and incidents effectively
• Work closely with venue management and security teams
• Uphold venue policies with professionalism and confidence

Essential Requirements
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (mandatory)
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong communication and conflict management skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods

(Previous experience preferred but not essential)

Keep an eye on your drinks and your friends’ drinks. There have been recent spiking incidents, so if something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and get help straight away.

If you’re worried about anything or think something is going on, speak to our staff. If they’re working at the venue, you’ll be able to spot them easily – they’ll be wearing company-branded jackets.

Another week, more deployments across the Highlands.

Today our staff have been deployed in Aviemore, Dalcross, and Inverness, delivering vital safety and security support throughout the region.

📍 Aviemore – Our team are carrying out Safety Steward roles, ensuring the hotel’s entertainment night runs smoothly and safely for guests and staff alike.
📍 Dalcross – Staff are providing the client with an essential safety service, maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
📍 Inverness – Staff are deployed at Private Eyes as part of our Highland contract, while additional staff are at Johnny Foxes, assisting the in-house security team to ensure a safe and enjoyable night for all.

This week has seen staff from Highland Security Ltd successfully covering multiple deployments across the Highlands. From Monday through to Sunday, teams have been deployed Private Eyes Inverness, while additional staff have been supporting the in-house security team at Johnny Fox's Pub & Restaurant throughout the week.

Staff are also currently deployed in Aviemore from Wednesday through to the 4th of January, with further coverage in place at Dalcross. In addition, officers are scheduled to be deployed at R&Bs on Saturday to assist their in-house security team.

This week has been an excellent demonstration of how Highland Security Ltd can support venues across the Highlands. Notably, two of these deployments were arranged at very short notice, highlighting the company’s flexibility, reliability, and ability to respond quickly to operational requirements.
