Ready steady GO !! 🚜

We have began clearing our plot that will be developed into a special Garden -planting friendships and hope .
Placements for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
A community Garden that will welcome visitors.

Today Daniel Kane who has graduated from st Clement’s School in Dingwall

work by care provider Boundless ability

The MARATHON DES SABLES Legendary is an extraordinary race and adventure that has been taking place in the southern Moroccan Sahara since 1986.

A sublime and mythical desert crossing, the program includes 11 days in Morocco, including 9 in the desert, a course of around 250 km spread over 6 stages, to be completed by running and carrying your full kit with you.

👏Catherine and Michael prendergast trained to compete in this amazing but hugely challenging race for ENF

⭐️Motivated by the support of the Haven for their brother Andrew and recognising the value of respite for their parents they achieved raising £7k 💕

🏃🏽In just over 45 days on September 28th is Loch Ness Marathon could you or a friend run for ENF 🏃‍♀️

£500 would enable a short break for a family and a fun stay at the Haven suites

🎈What a lovely celebration yesterday - 🎈

⭐️ENF Chair & founder Elsie Normington along with interim CE Andy Murray received sum of £7k on behalf of the charity with thankful hearts and great gratitude to Catherine and Michael on completing such an epic challenge and choosing to raise the money for the work of ENF. 👏👏

Having successfully completed one of the worlds most challenging ultramarathon 250km -carrying your kit all the way !!!

Michael unfortunately was unable to be with us due to work commitments abroad.

Catherine shared how both her and Michael were motivated to raise money for the work of ENF as their brother has been receiving short breaks /respite stays at the Haven Suites. As a family they are so grateful for this service providing Andrew with opportunities of independence and for Andrew’s parents a much needed respite from care duties.

Looking for free fun activities for the summer holidays next week? Come along and see us at the Vision26 event at Eden court and Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on Monday morning 10:00am-1:00pm.

Thriving Families will be there alongside our Haven Consortium partners Connecting Carers, Snap Inverness, Elsie Normington Foundation, Encompass Caithness, and our Family Links partners Care and Learning Alliance and Home-Start East Highland, alongside a huge range of services supporting families across Highland 😍

There are plans to hold similar events across Highland later in the year so watch this space! 👀
