🧀👩🍳 Cheese Scones & Cheeky Smiles! 😄

Our residents at Culduthel Care Home had a brilliant time getting hands-on with a cheese scone making session – and it was full of laughter, sensory fun, and a bit of cheeky dough-squishing! 🧈🥣

From mixing ingredients to shaping their creations, everyone enjoyed the textures, smells, and of course, the tasty results! A huge thank you to our fantastic colleagues for making this delicious activity so enjoyable 💛

🚤🌞 A Sensory Cruise to Remember! 🎶🧺

Our residents at Culduthel Care Home enjoyed a truly special outing with Seagull Trust Cruises, setting sail from the new berth at Torvean — right between the two bridges!

We were warmly welcomed aboard with beautiful accordion music from Margaret and her friend 🎵, and treated to a lovely picnic lunch out on the water

There was so much to take in — the sights, the sounds, the fresh air, and the delicious food! Some residents even took to the deck for a wee dance while others shared fond memories of life in the Navy and holiday cruises

🌧️🎨 Bright Moments on a Grey Day at Culduthel Care Home 🎶🐾

When the skies are overcast, we find sunshine in togetherness 💛 Whether it’s watercolours, crafting, or a gentle Pilates session, our residents love spending time doing the things that bring joy and wellbeing.

This afternoon was made extra special with a visit from Willie and his adorable pup, Poppy 🐶🎵 Their musical magic had us all smiling, singing along, and soaking up the lovely atmosphere.

🎶💃 Ceilidh Celebrations at Culduthel! 🕺🎉

We had a fantastic Ceilidh afternoon at Culduthel Care Home, filled with music, dancing, and joyful moments!

Our day began with a brilliant set from the talented Black Rock Ceilidh Band, who kindly squeezed us in before heading off to another gig — huge thanks to them, and to our wonderful deputy Joyce for making it happen!

After a delicious buffet lunch, we welcomed the incredible Highland Folk Hero, who treated us to an hour of traditional Scottish folk songs 🎤 — the perfect way to round off a truly memorable day.

A massive thank you to all our amazing colleagues who worked so hard behind the scenes to bring it all together

🧹🎉 All Hands to the Pump – Ceilidh Prep & Party! 💃🕺

At Culduthel Care Home, it was truly a team effort as everyone pitched in to get ready for our much-anticipated Ceilidh celebration!

From setting up decorations to organising the space, our brilliant colleagues and residents worked together to make sure everything was just right — and we’re delighted to say it all came together beautifully and on time!

The following day, we had an absolutely fantastic party filled with music, dancing, and joyful moments shared 💖

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable weekend!

🎲🏖️ Fun & Games at Culduthel! 🏖️🎲

Thursday was packed with laughter and lively activities here at Culduthel Care Home!

We kicked off the day with a classic beetle drive , followed by a beach-themed afternoon full of sunshine vibes — complete with ice-cream floats, picture bingo, and a beachy crossword 🍦

And to keep us moving, we added a cheeky game of catch with fishing nets — because why not?

A huge thank you to our wonderful colleagues for bringing the fun and to our residents for joining in with such enthusiasm! 🌟

☕🐟 Culduthel Care Home – Community Coffee Morning Adventures! 🎶📸

On Wednesday morning, a small group from Culduthel Care Home enjoyed a lovely outing to the monthly community coffee morning at the Eastgate Centre – and what a brilliant time we had! 🥰

We stopped to admire the stunning marine floor mural (thankfully no one got gobbled up by the shark! 🦈😉), and shared plenty of laughs and stories along the way.

A special shout-out to Eileen, who wowed us all by reading the quiz sheet without her spectacles – impressive stuff!
🎤 We were also serenaded by our good friend Amy Mullen and the talented Macey from her theatre school – a truly heart warming performance!

We had a fantastic morning and are already looking forward to next month’s coffee catch-up!

On Tuesday afternoon, our residents came together for a beautiful Songs of Praise service, led by Allan & Kenny from the Culduthel Christian Centre

It was a truly uplifting experience — filled with music, reflection, and a wonderful sense of togetherness. These moments of worship are always cherished by all 💐

🎲 Games, Tea & Togetherness at Culduthel 🍰

There’s a special kind of joy in gathering for a cosy afternoon filled with laughter, light-hearted games, and a proper cuppa.

Our colleagues and residents came together to enjoy a relaxing session of games, with tea and cake adding the perfect touch. ☕

Moments like these remind us how meaningful companionship and shared activities can be—and how a simple game can turn into a lovely memory.

🎂🌸 Celebrating Bob’s 88th Birthday in the Garden! 🧺🎉

We recently had the joy of helping our wonderful resident Bob celebrate his 88th birthday surrounded by loved ones in our beautiful garden at Culduthel Care Home

Our colleagues decorated a charming gazebo and organised a delightful picnic high tea, perfectly paired with the stunning birthday cake lovingly made by Bob’s family

It was a lovely warm day, filled with birdsong, laughter, and heartfelt moments — the perfect setting to relax and celebrate such a special occasion

Thank you to everyone who helped make Bob’s day so memorable 💙

🚲 Spokes 4 Folks Adventure! 🦆🌳

Our lovely residents enjoyed another brilliant outing with Spokes 4 Folks last week — always a favourite!

Due to some earlier storm damage, the route took a scenic detour away from the woods 🌬️🌲, but that didn’t stop the fun! We spent a delightful hour exploring the local streets before arriving at Drummond Park, where everyone enjoyed feeding the ducks and soaking up the peaceful surroundings

A big thank you to our wonderful colleagues who helped make the day so special
