From January’s first hopeful steps into a new year to December’s gentle closing notes, 2025 has been a year filled with connection, kindness, and countless moments that reminded us what makes Culduthel so special 💛

Each month brought its own treasured memories, shared laughter, meaningful conversations, new experiences, and the everyday moments that quietly became the heart of our year.

What made 2025 truly meaningful wasn’t just the activities, but the people. Our wonderful residents, whose warmth, stories, and spirit brighten every day. And our dedicated colleagues, whose compassion and commitment create a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and truly at home.

We couldn’t be more grateful to walk this journey with such incredible individuals. Their presence is what turns Culduthel from a building into a genuine community.

As we look back, we feel proud, thankful, and deeply moved by everything we’ve shared together. And as we step into 2026, we carry with us the joy, the memories, and the hope that the year ahead will bring even more moments worth cherishing ✨

🎄 A Christmas Message from Culduthel Care Home 🎄

This Christmas, everyone at Culduthel Care Home wanted to come together to share a special message with our community.

Our Home Manager, Denise, begins by sharing a few words of thanks and reflection - setting the tone for a message that comes from the heart.

From there, our residents, colleagues, families and friends join together for a Christmas song, celebrating the joy, togetherness and sense of community that has filled our home throughout the year.

We then hear a Christmas poem, shared by our residents, their families and some of our colleagues - a moment of reflection that reminds us of what this time of year truly means. It’s a chance to pause, to be grateful, and to remember those who are no longer with us but who remain very much in our thoughts and hearts at Christmas.

This video is about more than just festive cheer. It’s about saying thank you to everyone who has been part of life at Culduthel over the past year. To our residents, for the warmth, humour and stories you share. To families and friends, for your trust, support and kindness. And to our colleagues, for the care, compassion and dedication you show every single day.

As we look ahead, we do so together - with hope, gratitude and optimism for the year to come. We’re proud of the community we have here at Culduthel, and we look forward to continuing this journey together into 2026.

🎄 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🦌

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:

💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

A huge thank you to every resident, colleague, family member and supporter who took part, donated, cheered us on or helped make this happen. This is what makes Meallmore such a special community - and why we’re so proud of the people who live and work in our homes.

What a way to finish the year. 🎄✨

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.

We were delighted to welcome the talented pupils from Cauldeen Primary (P4-7) who filled our home with beautiful Christmas songs! 🎄🎤

Their singing brought so much joy and festive spirit to our residents and colleagues – what a wonderful way to celebrate the season. ❤️

Our residents, colleagues, and family members enjoyed a lovely lunch in our fine dining room before heading off to Eden Court for the magical Snow White Panto! 🎭❄️

It was a day full of laughter, festive spirit, and wonderful memories shared together.
