So I took it upon myself to do something even more useful in life for folks, I gave blood 🩸 at the local blood centre at Raigmore.

This is the second time ever I have done this, with the first time being in my early 20’s. I have to say, I was nervous 🤷🏻‍♂️, but just got on with it.

I now know that I shouldn’t have been nervous, as the whole experience was brilliant and took just five minutes in the chair after going through the checks on the questionnaire with Nurse Morag!

The nursing staff were wonderfully cheerful and helped enormously relive any fears or concerns that anyone had.

I asked my nurse if they had a lot of donors, but she told me that they are struggling to get new donors and it’s the same ones that come back (which is great, but a lot of room for improvement).

So, I said that I would pop a quick post on my page to let people know what it was like and see if I can help find a few more donors. The nurse kindly took a picture for this (camera never worked since)!
