Our homes were filled with heart‑warming moments this Valentine’s Day, as residents enjoyed a day dedicated to love, friendship and togetherness.

From crafting beautiful decorations and sharing sweet treats, to music, dancing and relaxed social gatherings, every home found its own special way to celebrate.

It was wonderful to see residents smiling, chatting and enjoying meaningful time with friends and colleagues. These small moments of connection are what make our homes feel truly special.

🥞 Happy Shrove Tuesday! 🥞

Across our homes today, it’s been all about the pancakes - and the competitive flipping skills that came with them. And you'll struggle to find anyone more competitive than those at our Leven Beach Care Home

There were golden stacks, creative toppings, a few dramatic mid-air landings… and plenty of laughter along the way 😅

Whether it was a classic lemon and sugar or something a little more adventurous, everyone got involved and made the most of the occasion.

It’s days like these that bring people together — a simple tradition, shared smiles, and something sweet to brighten the week.

🎶💛 Music, Movement & Meaningful Moments at Culduthel Care Home 💛🎶

The afternoon was filled with song, smiles and gentle movement as our residents enjoyed a fun and uplifting session together 🌟

It was a lovely way to bring some light exercise into the day while singing familiar songs from the past — sparking memories, conversation and plenty of joy 🎵

Residents at Bayview came together to mark World Cancer Day, creating thoughtful pieces of art using clay, fabrics and other materials

This creative session wasn’t just about making something beautiful, it encouraged meaningful conversation, memories and moments of reflection. Residents explored the different colours of awareness ribbons, each representing support for different types of cancer

💛 Home Is Where the Heart Is at Airthrey 💛

Airthrey Care Home sensory session had everyone rolling up their sleeves for some baking fun, and it was a huge hit!

Residents and colleagues came together to create delicious homemade cheese & pesto twists, bringing familiar scents, hands‑on activity and plenty of happy moments to the afternoon.

There may have been a few messy hands along the way, but it was all worth it for the smiles, laughter and lovely sense of achievement shared by our residents ✨

It’s moments like these that make Airthrey feel truly special, a place filled with joy, confidence and connection.

🌿🕊️ St Olaf Residents Join the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch! 🕊️🌿

Residents at St Olaf Care Home have enjoyed a wonderful time taking part in this year’s RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. From the comfort of our beautiful conservatory, everyone spent time watching, identifying and counting the lovely birds visiting our garden

The activity sparked lots of meaningful conversations, with residents sharing fond memories of time spent in the garden, family walks, wildlife spotting and enjoying the outdoors with loved ones

Throughout the winter, residents have also been putting out seeds to support local birdlife, a thoughtful gesture that helps our feathered friends during the colder months.

A heartfelt thank you goes to one of our brilliant family members, who added a little extra entertainment outside when the birds were feeling a bit shy… it certainly brought plenty of smiles to residents and colleagues alike! 💚

Did you know? In 2025, over 590,000 people took part in the Birdwatch, counting more than 9.1 million birds, with the house sparrow securing the top spot as the most commonly seen visitor

✨ A Fabulous Valentine’s Effort at Leven Beach Care Home! ✨

Leven beach residents have been getting creative in the run-up to Valentine’s Day, putting so much love and imagination into making their beautiful Valentine’s gifts

And the best part? When we asked who the lucky recipients would be, they all replied with a smile:
“No man is getting these, we’re keeping them for ourselves!”

The laughter, confidence and pure joy in the room made the activity even more special. Valentine’s Day isn’t just about giving to others, it’s also a lovely reminder to celebrate yourself, and our residents embraced that wonderfully.
