𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝘀 💙

Every so often, a family shares something that stops you in your tracks - something that reminds you why care isn’t just a job, but a privilege.

Today, we received word of a Facebook post from a family who recently lost their beloved mum, Joyce. In the middle of their grief, they took the time to tell us what walking back into Crimond House Care Home meant to them… how the welcome, the compassion, and the small thoughtful touches brought emotion they didn’t expect - and how it showed, in their words, “how liked, loved and cared for my Mam was.”

They described our colleagues as “angels on earth.”

They said there was nowhere better they could have trusted with their mum’s care.

And they thanked the team for the love shown not only in the good days, but right to the very end.

It brought a tear to all of us reading it.

To Scott and the family - thank you for sharing something so personal at such a difficult time, our thoughts remain with you all. And to our incredible Crimond colleagues - this is the legacy you create every single day. The kindness you show, the dignity you protect, and the bonds you build… they stay with people forever.

We are so proud of you. 💙

❄️ STOP SCROLLING - Daviot has officially entered Snowman Season. ❄️

And yes… there is something edible underneath those knitted snowmen. 🍫⛄

Our Activities wizard, Gillian, has only gone and handcrafted a full army of chocolate snowmen, and they’re already melting hearts all over the home.

Each one is just £2, and every penny goes to Seagull Trust Highland - the amazing volunteer-led charity giving our residents unforgettable boat trips and magical moments on the water 🚤💙

These cruises mean the world to so many people here, so this is your chance to make a real difference… and get a delicious snowman out of it.

🌟 Joy. Movement. Memory. 🌟

At Parklands Care Home, it wasn’t just an exercise session - it was a room full of people rediscovering a part of themselves.

Music filled the lounge.
Hands clapped. Feet tapped.
Voices sang along to songs that meant something - songs tied to first dances, family parties, and moments long before care homes were ever needed.

Some moved gently from their chairs.
Others stood, swayed, even laughed through forgotten lyrics.
And when the music slowed, we shifted to soft Pilates-inspired stretches - still smiling, still together.

Because wellbeing is more than fitness.
It’s connection.
It’s confidence.
It’s remembering who you are - and feeling safe enough to let that part of you shine again.

To the colleagues who make moments like this possible:
You don’t just run activities.
You create memories.
You spark joy.
You give people reasons to feel alive inside their own bodies again.

And that is something truly special. 💜

Some weeks are quieter than others… and then there are weeks like this one at Crimond House Care Home - the kind that remind you just how much life can happen under one roof.💙

We’ve danced, we’ve sung, we’ve crafted, we’ve welcomed our therapy dog for cuddles, shared moments of reflection at church service, and kept everyone moving with gentle exercise sessions.

Not just keeping busy - keeping connected. What really matters isn’t the list of activities, though.

It’s the smiles.
The laughter.
The small, one-to-one moments that make the days feel full.

At Crimond, staying active isn’t a checkbox - it’s a way of bringing joy into everyday life.

A Special Visit from Leyanne and Helen at Redwoods Care Home 🌸🏃‍♀️

We were delighted to welcome Leyanne and Helen, who recently took part in the Loch Ness Marathon! The pair set up a Just Giving page to raise money in support of our residents - a truly thoughtful gesture.

It was an emotional moment when we presented the ladies with flowers, as Leyanne had run the marathon in memory of her grandmother, who was once a resident here at Redwoods. Their kindness and connection mean a great deal to us all. 💖

A Year of Love, Captured in Every Page ❤️📆

At Meallmore, we often talk about connection - and last week, our residents Leven Beach Care Home found a truly beautiful way to express it.

Each 2026 calendar has been carefully designed, painted, and pieced together by our residents, filled with memories, moments, and a whole lot of heart. Every page tells a story - of laughter, friendship, and life shared together.

For Ann, it’s more than just a calendar. Hers is travelling all the way to her grandson in Australia - a small piece of home that’ll hang proudly on his wall, reminding him that love travels any distance. 🌍💌

It’s a simple idea, but one that says so much: connection doesn’t fade with miles - it grows with meaning. Well done to everyone who took part - you’ve created something truly special. 💚
