Thank you Simpson's Garden Centre for allowing us to celebrate your 25th birthday with a generous donation!

We discussed how to spend the vouchers at our residents and relatives meeting.

Residents were keen to welcome wildlife to our gardens. We hope the beautiful bird tables, hanging hooks and array of feeders will help!

A delightful Friday in Pittyvaich.

Many of the ladies had a pamper session this morning, with hair and nails. 💅💆‍♀️

This afternoon residents and friends enjoyed a cheese and wine tasting. 🍷🧀

There was even some dancing. 💃🕺

We’re delighted to announce that Parklands Care Homes has been shortlisted in four categories at the Caring UK Awards 2025 – including the Community Activity Award and the prestigious Care Group of the Year Award.

Special congratulations to our fantastic colleagues at Eilean Dubh, recognised in two categories - Regional Care Home (Scotland) and Activities Team.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the dedication of our teams and the support of our residents, families and communities. So, thank you. We'll find out in early December if we've been successful. 🤞

Good design matters, and Pittyvaich has been widely praised for its thoughtful design – so we’re delighted that Care Home Magazine has named it Care Home of the Month.

But as Donald Macaskill, CEO of Scottish Care, reminded us during his recent visit, it’s about more than design. Investment in new care homes like Pittyvaich is vital to ensure more older people can live close to home, near their families and communities, in places built to the highest standards.

For the past 10 years, Mikeysline has been a lifeline for people across the north, offering hope and support to anyone struggling with their mental health.

At Parklands, colleagues from many backgrounds bring their own experiences and passion for care to our homes.

Blessing moved from Nigeria to Aberlour to continue her caring career: “It’s the satisfaction that comes with the job. It makes you very happy.” 🇳🇬

She’s joined by Eli, a 17-year-old domestic assistant from France, who says the best part of the job is being in daily contact with residents: “Everyone’s respectful and so nice.” 🇫🇷
