Good Morning Scotland and The World!

Everytime you see a timber lorry moving conifer or broadleaved logs, be thankful:

1. It carries a locally produced renewable product, that locks up carbon for good if used in construction or replaces fossil fuels when used for firewood. Mitigating Climate Change
2. Local employment and tax income, circular economy, reducing trade deficit by decreasing the 80% of timber the UK imports. Good for the Economy.
3. Creating income to allow managed woodlands to maintain and increase the biodiversity of the many magnificent woodlands of Scotland, installing and maintaining recreational facilities which are good for public recreation. Good for Wildlife and Recreation.

Create more woodlands and encourage the use of this wonderful green product! Timber!

Christmas Trees have many uses!

Hundreds of trees have been donated to assist the project at Lossiemouth's East Beach.

Well managed Forests are good for us! They produces timber for building, firewood, paper, sawdust for horse bedding and bark for gardens. They provide shelter in heavy wind/rain, clean water and reduce the risk of flooding. They lock up carbon when they are growing and their timber is used in buildings! Conifer forests are a valuable habitat for many species, including capercallie, squirrels, deer, wood peckers etc. We need managed forest and qualified and enthusastic foresters to look after them and plant more productive woodlands. Managed woodlands provide jobs and keep money locally and in the circular economy. 🌲🌲🌲

Here is something interesting/funny...We sold a Xmas tree today, 29/12/2024, to someone that was on holidays and just got back to Scotland.
£25 towards our collection for the Red Cross in the Ukraine!
