We’ve whizzed along to the end of the month and I’ve only just remembered that April was Stress Awareness Month… which probably says it all really!

How has April been for you? Calm and relaxed or busy and overwhelming? Or, more likely, somewhere in between?

I’ve noticed I’ve fallen into the trap of rushing from one thing to another, trying to keep all the plates spinning, and then wondering why my shoulders are up around my ears, I’ve not been sleeping very well and I forgot to send that birthday card I bought weeks ago to make sure I would send it on time 🫣

So I thought it was time to revisit one of my blog posts on stress, and I’ve updated it with a few thoughts and ways to support yourself if you’ve noticed the effects of stress sneaking up on you.

You can read it on my website here

It’s the end of National Feet Week… which feels like a good excuse to give our feet a bit of attention (for once).

We rely on them every single day, yet they’re often the part of us we think about the least… until they start to hurt.

A little reminder — your feet are actually quite incredible.
Each one contains 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, all working together to keep you moving.

And over a lifetime?
It’s said the average person walks around 100,000 miles… roughly the equivalent of walking around the Earth four times.

No wonder they get tired!

Even small things can make a difference — applying some moisturiser before bed and taking a moment to massage them, or walking barefoot on grass or sand if you get the chance. Some people find that connection with the ground helps them feel more settled, and may even support better sleep.

And if your feet (and the rest of you) are in need of a proper rest, reflexology is a lovely way to pause, switch off, and give your body a chance to do what it naturally knows how to do.

If that sounds like something you could do with, you’re always welcome to book in 🤍

A little reminder for this World Earth Day 🌍🌱

We’re part of nature too and often feel better when we slow down and reconnect with it.

Even spending a few minutes outside to take a breath of fresh air and notice what’s around us can help to shift how we feel.

Happy Easter everyone 🌸
I hope you have a lovely Sunday, however you’re spending it.

I love a craft project. It keeps my hands busy and turns down the chatter from my mind monkeys for a while! But I’d got out of the habit… telling myself I didn’t have time, whilst somehow still finding time to scroll on my phone (🤔 does that sound familiar?!)

So a couple of months ago, I set myself a challenge — when I felt the urge to scroll, I’d pick up some felt instead.

And this is the result… a little Easter garland for my fireplace

Is it perfect? Absolutely not! But do I love the quirkiness? Yes, I do! It’s another reason I love crafting. It challenges my over critical thinking and need for things to be ‘right’. When I switch that off, I can just enjoy the process and love the outcome - even if the chick does look a bit like a cute version of Frankenstein’s monster 😄

New month, new beginnings…? 🌱

Spring is definitely doing its thing now — every time I look in the garden there’s something new popping up. Some of it I remember planting… some of it is a complete surprise 😄

I love this time of year though. There’s something about everything coming back to life that lifts my mood and I’m trying to find 10 minutes everyday to slow down and actually notice it (in between everything else!).

I hope you find a little moment to enjoy the fresh start of April too 🌸💚

Spring Equinox blessings to you all 🌱✨
It really feels like we’ve earned this one 😄

If you’re looking to put a little more ‘spring in your step’ this season, my diary is open for April bookings 🌼

Like most of you, I’m very glad we’ve made it through January. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come along for treatments this month. It’s been lovely to see you.

Finally February is here, there are snowdrops in my garden and the days are becoming ever so slightly longer. Sadly, it’s still raining but we can’t have everything ☔️

Whilst I welcome these positive signs, this final stage of winter can feel a bit flat. The excitement of Christmas is long gone and spring still feels a long way off. The grey, cold days can take their toll on our mood. I hear this a lot in the treatment room at this time of year.

So if February feels like a month you just need to get through rather than fully enjoy, I’m with you!

My antidote to that feeling is to up my self-care. I try to get lots of sleep, eat healthy vegetable soups, get outside as much as possible to notice all the budding signs of spring I can, treat myself to bunches of daffodils to brighten up my home, and of course, have reflexology (well, I would say that, wouldn’t I?!) I have my own appointment booked this month. How about you? 😉

I’m back in my cosy treatment room at last!

A week later than planned, thanks to all that snow, but it was so nice to be able to welcome clients back today. Thank you to everyone who had to move their appointment last week — I really appreciate it.

And if the cold and chaotic start to the year has left you feeling a bit out of sorts, I’m here if you’d like to experience how reflexology can support your wellbeing during the winter months ❄️🤍
