We are writing to inform you of important measures we are taking to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff.

As you may be aware, and have read in the news, there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of flu, other respiratory infections and gastric upset in the community. To help minimise the risk of transmission within our home, we kindly ask that you avoid visiting if you are feeling unwell, have a temperature, or are experiencing any signs or symptoms of a respiratory illness (such as cough, sore throat, or congestion) or gastric upset (diarrhoea and vomiting).

Until further notice, we ask that visitors to our home wear appropriate PPE which will help us reduce the risk of infection and safeguard those who are most vulnerable.

We understand how important it is to maintain contact with your loved ones. If you are unable to visit in person, we encourage you to make use of alternative ways to stay connected, such as telephone calls or video calls. Our team will be happy to assist in arranging virtual visits to ensure you can continue to share time and conversation with your family member.

Beautiful moments shared at Garioch this Christmas. Merry Christmas from our big family to yours ✨❤️❤️we hope you all had a wonderful time and Santa has been good to all! 🎄

A special thank you to the staff that have worked hard and provided an outstanding service during this very special festive period. You all have made this day effortless and beautiful at Garioch ❤️ many compliments received by all for our lovely chef Caroline who had cooked a fantastic Christmas dinner for residents, families and staff 👏👏 a true talent and wonderful head chef ❤️❤️

THANK YOU to all the staff who worked hard during the whole festive period and made our time at Garioch so very special, you are all very loved and appreciated❤️❤️❤️🎄

All availability is now full and we can no longer take any other requests. Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The Christmas lunch starts at 12:30 on Christmas Day.

Anyone attending is expected to wear a Christmas jumper or a festive outfit and to be jolly +full of festive cheer! 😉🎄

Please ensure you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to service.

Beloved families and friends,

Public Health Scotland and Care Concern Group have been keeping us informed on the rise of flu cases and the risk of the unknown pathogen that is a high transmission risk.

To ensure our residents are protected we ask you if you have any flu like symptoms to please not chance a visit.

We have masks available and have been doing lots of Donning and Doffing as a team to ensure we do not have this in the building over the festive period.

May we all stay safe and cautious this Christmas period and prevent flu by not transmitting it to others.

Any new admissions are to isolate therefore will have PPE station outside their room, however are likely to be symptom free, due to high risk we are taking precautions.

I must also praise our excellent team who have worked tremendously hard to ensure safety of our residents.
