Donnie & Peter (entertainment) Friday 30th Jan 2026
Donnie & Peter were requested for entertainment by one of our late residents wives, Flora. They were John Rennie's favourite entertainers as they play a great mix of music and he enjoyed singing along to them. Today was organised especially in Johns memory by ourselves and Flora. The residents all enjoyed the afternoon very much and a lot of them were dancing and they were singing along with the band. A great afternoon was had by all indeed.
Flora gave a vote of thanks to the band and also to the staff here for their kindness and care John received here โ˜บ๏ธ

BURNS LUNCH ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
The residents said they enjoyed their Burns Lunch. The haggis was piped in by John Wallace which was carried by our cook BG. She said this is the 1st time she has been involved directly in a Burns event and really enjoyed playing a part in it. Pauline Garden said the Selkirk Grace and Helen Fellows made a grand job of addressing the haggis. I hope you enjoy the video and like looking at our pictures Some of the tenants who were unable to come along to the dining room got theirs delivered to their flat. (mince alternative if required)
The residents were all offered a whisky, sherry or a soft drink for the toast.
In the afternoon we recited some Scottish poems and read out some funny Scottish stories. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ (Video to follow)
