For those snowed in, we welcome you into some seasonal connection this evening as We Hold Our Opening Circle 🔵 This Evening 4-5.30pm - under very wintery conditions.

It will be held by the much loved Jon Cree.

For those who don't know Jon, expect deep presencing with yourself and the season, poetry, and no doubt some giggles and gratitude.

If you can bring a candle🕯️

It's part of the Rest to Rise Retreat, offered by donation, but you can join this evening's session on its own for some reflection into Wintering Well.

Simply register in advance here (we'll let you know how to make a donation if you are able to during the event):

Rest Practice 1 has been released today. 🤍

A 30-minute Yoga Nidra designed for winter —
for stopping, softening, and letting the body give up on holding itself for a while.

This first practice is about rest as permission.
Not fixing. Not improving.
Just allowing yourself to arrive exactly as you are.

You could take it:
• mid-afternoon, when the day dips
• wrapped in blankets
• lights low, headphones on
• letting rest be enough for today

Rest to Rise isn’t a programme that takes over January.
It’s a quiet frame around it — something you can return to when you need support, without pressure.

If your body is craving a gentler winter, you’re very welcome to join us.
You can simply follow along with the rest practices if that’s what feels right.

You can still sign up by donation at:

Rest to Rise Rest Practice 1 is now available. 🤍

A 25-minute Yoga Nidra for winter —
for stopping, softening, and letting the body rest. It's the first of five moving deeper over five weeks.

You can take it wrapped in blankets, lights low,
allowing this first practice to gently frame your day
rather than ask anything of it.

Rest to Rise isn’t about filling January —
it’s about letting winter do what it does best.

You’re very welcome to join us. You can simply follow along with the rest practices OR join a schedule of gentle yet powerful live session.
ALL BY DONATION.

This Sunday we’ll open the Rest to Rise space together with a gentle Opening Circle, held with Jon Cree — a place to arrive slowly, orient to the weeks ahead, and let winter set the pace.

You can join the Circle 4-5.30pm UK on it’s own as a place to reflect and share on Wintering Well. We’re asking £15 for this opportunity to be held in Jon’s deep-nature presence and fatherly storying.

If you join it as part of the Rest to Rise Retreat – it’s by donation. Completely your choice how much you exchange.

This retreat isn’t about filling your January.
It’s about framing it — with rest practices you can return to quietly, in your own time.

If your body is craving a soft (not idle) start to the year, you’re welcome to join us.

⏰ 4–5.30pm (UK)

The full retreat is offered by donation, and you can take part in whatever way feels right — from simply following the rest practices quietly on your own, to joining all the live sessions. Most people will probably land somewhere in-between.

Thank you for all the feedback with the pull-up banner designs.

I agreed with it ALL. The right hand one was the better of the two yet you mentioned the issues I also have with it.

I think they had to do with the picture of me being removed from the original background.

How about these revised options - Miriam Nicol Daniel Johnston ?

Which do you prefer out of these?

A soft countdown.

Rest is coming.

No rushing back to work, no catching up — winter remains an invitation to fully arrive home to ourselves.

If you’re already part of Rest to Rise, we’re so glad you’re here.

If you’re not, and your body feels curious, you’re welcome to listen in with recorded audio practices, or join in with optional live sessions too.

January doesn’t ask us to get back on it immediately or start more things — it asks us to remember how to be. 🤍

Help Please.

I'm making a Pull-Up Banner for fairs and events.

Which of these do you think is better?

I wanted a frontal photo but Craig thinks I look perplexed in this one . . .?

It’s my birthday today, and instead of asking for anything, I wanted to offer something that has shaped my life in a deep and lasting way.

Years ago, Rest to Rise was born because I was tired — not just physically, but in a way that told me I was still living out of rhythm with myself. I could sense there was still a deeper, more seasonal way of being… but I hadn’t quite developed the trust to fully live it.
Despite slowing down for Winter, it still became something to push through rather than listen to.

So, Rest to Rise began as an offering first to myself — a curated and co-created permission slip to truly embrace the winter pause. To rest without guilt. To slow without falling behind. To trust that if I really let myself winter well, I would rise more honestly, creatively and sustainably in spring.

I brought together some of the wisest practitioners I knew and we created a 5 week gentle online experience for the members of our community.

I had realised that choosing to pause for as long as your body needs was the key to pretty much EVERYTHING. I suspected the retreat would be powerful, but didn’t expect just how radical, beautiful and well-received that choice would be — not just for me, but for everyone who came into the space. Again and again, people reflected back the same thing: the permission, the validation, the feeling of being met exactly where they were. And then just what an impact this had on the rest of the year.

This reel shares a little of that story, and why Rest to Rise continues to matter so much to me.

If it lands with you today, receive it as a birthday gift. And if it feels like a choice you also want to make – you can sign up by donation here:
https://grow-free.com/Rest2Rise2026

It's also a fundraiser for our community - so any joining, sharing and inviting will make a difference and help us carry out our purpose.

Love Emma

AvaRobin and I wanted to share a little message with our friends and followers this Solstice.

It’s something we practice a lot at home, and making this video has been a wonderful way to really let it sink in.

No children were harmed in the making of this film. In fact, there was delight from a girl who loves to perform, and permission for a Mum who didn’t have the courage to perform as a child.
