BID Member Will Chemists: Proposed New Pharmacy.

We’re asking before we act. Will Chemists is exploring the possibility of opening a pharmacy in Port Elphinstone — but only if it’s the right thing for the town and has the community’s support.

Our goal is to ensure access to pharmacy services grows in step with the needs of the expanding community.

Inverurie has grown nearly 20% in just over a decade — and healthcare demand has grown with it. We’re exploring a third Will Chemists site to protect access and keep care local.

Our branches are now delivering over 3,800 minor illness treatments a year — a clear sign of how pharmacy care is evolving. That demand is real, and it’s coming from local people. We’re asking this question because we care about access, continuity, and doing the right thing for the community.

Should we expand our clinical services to better support Port Elphinstone and beyond... have your say!

Laura and Craig from the PCS Team and Kelly, pharmacist from Burghmuir Pharmacy, attended today's Community Appointment Day (CAD) at the Bon Accord Vaccination Centre where the subject was Chronic Pain.

The Chronic Pain CAD offers people the opportunity to receive support while they are on a waiting list to be seen. The team had many meaningful conversations with patients about their pain, self‑management strategies, and ways to improve daily living.

Patients shared excellent feedback about their local community pharmacies—thank you for the continued hard work and dedication! 👏

We’re back in business!
Our driver Steve went above and beyond yesterday to repair the Will Chemist van, including a trip on foot to Autoparts for a new battery.
There’s some catching up to do and he’s prioritising urgent prescriptions while making sure everything is done safely. We really appreciate your understanding.

Please remember the weather is still very poor and pavements remain icy, so only venture out if essential and take extra care. Safety comes first.
