A lovely farewell on Friday was had at Fennel Restaurant for our Site Agent, Mike McKinnon, as he prepares to start his new venture and business, MRV Services.

We would like to thank Mike for all his efforts in managing and bringing our ak|d designs to life over the last few years.

We wish him all the best in his new chapter. It’s a ‘see you next time’ not a goodbye…

Delighted with progression of this bothy conversion and extension to form a new dwellinghouse site near Banchory.

Reinstating the traditional Deeside bothy overhang detail, with progression of contrasting methods used for the new element in the form of wall and roof sandwich panels, providing high thermal and air tightness qualities.

Sparkies first fix complete and external timber cladding commencing.

| Turriff Show Over & Out |

What a fantastic Turriff Show!

Although the weather wasn’t on our side this year, thank you to everyone who visited and came to see our stand and enjoyed the sunshine that did come out on Sunday afternoon!

Well done to team ak|a and ak|d - we won 1st in the Large Non-Agri stand category! A brilliantly curated stand with our corten steel bar area by Harper UK, new prints and frames by Cpandco scattering the walls, uniquely crafted carpentry tables, with interior touches from Jane Keenan Design & local flower arrangements by Mill Cottage Flowers.

Lots of celebrations, catch up’s and drinks were had, along with our ever present group of amazing little helpers who sold lots of fantastic My Name'5 Doddie Foundation merch!

Also big shout out to Louise's Farm Kitchen for the incredible hog roast that kept everyone filled up!

| The Start of Carnousie…. |

We are delighted to have gained completion on our first dwellinghouse commission at Carnousie, Turriff, with our clients happily settled in.

This significant milestone is the first of 8 new builds, which will form Phase 1 of the development.

In turn, this enabling development (along with the following Phase 2), will support the investment required to restore and convert the glorious, ruinous, grade B listed steading on site, Carnousie Steading.

With Plot 7 also nearing completion and available for viewings, we’re excited to see the development’s progress.
