Hello,
Aberdeenshire Young Carer Strategy - We are young carers, who cares for us? 2018 - 2020
The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 will be implemented on the 1st April 2018 and places a number of statutory duties (or responsibilities) on all local authorities to develop and publish a local Carer Strategy. In Aberdeenshire we have decided to prepare separate strategies for adult and young carers. This strategy (or plan) of what we are going to do over the next two years (from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2020) is for all young carers up to the age of 18 years old and has been developed through discussions with young carers for their views to reflect the opinions of young carers across Aberdeenshire, and other key partners in social work, education, health and the third sector.
We encourage young carers and as many people as possible to read our draft Young Carer Strategy and complete the survey to give their views. If you have any queries please contact the Carers Strategy Team via email on: Carersupport@aberdeenshire.gov.uk
Please also share this with anyone that may have an interest in responding.
The deadline for response is Friday 9th February 2018.
Please follow link below to give feedback on the attached Aberdeenshire Young Carer Strategy:

Thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important.
