Prana Mama Yoga was established by Elisabeth Barron, a local, mum of two. Elisabeth is passionate about Yoga and all the benefits that it can bring to pregnant women and those recovering from childbirth and adjusting to being a mum. Currently, Prana Mama Yoga runs an 8 Week Pregnancy Yoga Course that is open to a small group of mums-to-be. Sessions are held in a warm, relaxed and supportive environment. They feature gentle and safe exercises to strengthen and tone the body along with breathing and relaxation techniques to help connect with baby, prepare for childbirth and motherhood. Each session focuses on a different topic and participants receive user-friendly information to help them along their journey into parenthood. Suitable for pregnant women from 14 weeks to full term, for beginners or advanced. Get in touch to discuss one-to-one Pre or Postnatal Yoga sessions. Elisabeth holds a Diploma in Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga (recognised by Yoga Alliance) after studying with Jane Mackarness of Garbhini Yoga www.garbhiniyoga.com

We're delighted to be joined by Physiotherapist and Certified Pilates Instructor Fiona Morris live over in our Facebook group on Sunday 16th May.

Fiona is the founder of The Physiotherapy and Pilates Company and her passion lies in pelvic health, especially conditions related to the pregnancy and postnatal stages.

So often during pregnancy and postnatally, women’s concerns are dismissed as being something you just have to put up with because you are having or have had a baby, but that’s not the case.

Through specialist Physiotherapy and Pilates we can help to relieve symptoms and empower you to feeling more like yourself again.

We hope you can join us!

In all the excitement of a new addition to the family, mum often gets forgotten about.

It's a time of mixed emotions and it's vitally important to take care of our own mental health, with hormones raging and tiredness taking over, it's easy to neglect our own wellbeing.

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance has some great resources and tips to look after your health and wellbeing.

https://maternalmentalhealthalliance.org/resources/mums-and-families/covid-19-looking-after-your-mental-health-during-pregnancy-and-after-birth/

Of course, maternal mental health is important at any stage of motherhood and the ups and downs that come with raising a family.

Our Facebook group is always here for support and is a safe environment for you to express how you're feeling without fear or judgement.

We're in this together! 🧡🧡
