This page will be used to inform people of promotions on offer and of developments in style of treatments offered as well as an opportunity for people to leave comments on whether they enjoyed their treatment and what results they experienced. You are not just a body - nor are you just an emotional being. Your physical body affects your mind, just as your mind affects your physical body. I believe

in treating each person as a whole being. I will advise as to what I think is the best course of treatment for you as an individual. You do not have to agree with me of course :) You are in complete control of your treatment. If you only want Bowen for example, then I will only use Bowen. At present I use the following physical therapies to relieve pain and reset the body back to the way it is best suited for the individual. This will be different for everyone

This is a shocking documentary on the way the 'World's Only Fear Clinic' is supposedly helping people overcome their phobias. Basically it's flooding (overwhelming exposure to the stressor) and beta blockers.(strong medication)
The client has to go through a horrible experience and panic at a 10/10 for a long time to 'reset the traumatic memory' Awful!!
I believe psychologists in some parts of the world still either use this method or more usually CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) as it is in the UK, which involves gradual exposure to your fear, so you feel less anxious about it. This is known as desensitisation or exposure therapy. This involves graduated exposure but it takes quite a while and is basically a series of mini traumas.
Personally, retraumatising people is very outdated and unnecessary and phobias can be resolved 2-3 sessions max using much more gentle methods like EFT or OP2G.

Agoraphobia robs people of their freedom! People suffering with Agoraphobia can't just 'nip to the shops' or 'pop out for a breath of fresh air'. They have to wait for people to come and see them or get their shopping in, because the anxiety they feel at even the thought of opening the outside door is too much for them.
If you know of someone suffering or are suffering with this phobia yourself, then so long as you 100% want to change your situation, I can help you do that. I can't do it for you. You have to be invested in the process, and it is a process. It's not going to happen overnight or in 1 or 2 sessions, but by the second session you will begin to see a change which will bring motivation to grasp that change and want more.

Why is our self-talk often really critical? We say things to ourselves we'd never say to our best friend! Why? Well, they probably wouldn't want to be friends any more. So why is it OK to tell ourselves - that was really stupid/I'm an idiot/loser/I'm never going to make that...? The answer, of course, is, that it's not OK.

Be gentle with yourself. You're not perfect; none of us are! You make mistakes; we all do! Guess what? You're human! Love yourself for who you are, warts and all. Treat yourself like you are your best friend, and you'll begin to really appreciate what a special human you actually are 😊

Have you ever imagined how powerful our thoughts can be, especially when they're constant? It's like being stuck in an episode of Stranger Things where your worst fears materialize. Not fun, right? But hey, what if I told you, you could use this same technique to combat your chronic pain?

Jan, our very own Daenerys Targaryen in the chronic pain realm, has been slaying the metaphorical dragons of pain for over 16 years. Her mantra? "What you think constantly, turns into what you believe which equals your end result." So, imagine if you could change your narrative about your chronic pain. Easier said than done, I know, but bear with me.

Just as Jane Fonda shook up the fitness industry with her aerobic videos, Jan is here to revolutionize the way we perceive chronic pain. According to her, posture is everything. It's not about having the posture of a royal guard standing outside Buckingham Palace, rather, it's about finding movements that don't aggravate your pain.

You know how we binge-watch Netflix but can't find time for quality sleep? Well, it turns out, that could be affecting your pain levels. Jan reckons that getting more quality sleep will have a huge impact on your life, just like that plot twist in your favorite series did.

Believing everything you hear about your pain is like eating everything you see on the Great British Bake Off - not a good idea. Just like Paul Hollywood isn't easily impressed, Jan wants us to question and evaluate the information we consume.

And here's the last piece of wisdom Jan has for us - focus on one thing at a time and don't feed into overwhelm. It's like playing a game of Tetris: if you try to clear multiple lines at once, you may end up with a messy game board.

Changing your pain narrative won't be a walk in the park, but with small, deliberate steps, it's not impossible. Take it one Bruce Lee kick at a time, focusing on one skill, one move, until you master your narrative.

OldPain2Go - this is not hypnotherapy! It does exactly what it says. It helps you to reduce or delete old pain messages that you no longer need. Eg. if you have arthritis, why do you need the pain to keep reminding you? You don’t! Usually one session is enough but there is a free follow up session if required.
