I’ve struggled with my weight for a few years, losing some, putting more on etc etc but last year I had a proper talk with myself! I am suffering with a bad knee (probably due to carrying too much weight) and after seeing consultants they told me I needed a knee replacement. But I needed to lose the weight before I could have the operation. So in march last year I told myself enough was enough. That I was going to lose this weight, so I put my head into it. I got all my slimming world books out and started a fresh and finally, on the last weigh in off 2025 I got to target with 5 and half stone lost for good! The one thing I would say about my journey is that without my s/w consultant Rachel and the support of my Monday morning group I would never off done it.
On the days I got down cause the scales didn't say what I wanted, they were all there to bring me back to reality and remind me that I'm only human and not to give up. They all gave me great love and cheered me on once I got to all my milestones x
Rachel was the one who told me regularly not to be to hard on myself and gave me a kick up the bum when needed and I cant thank her and my group enough. Staying every week to group made this happen for me x
