Meet the Manager!
✨ Toni ✨
Toni has worked for Primary Homecare since 2014 starting off her journey as a carer, she took the plunge to coordinator and as of August 2023 Toni started her role as manager (and a good one at that!)
Toni’s interesting fact about herself: ‘I go to Starbucks for a coffee every Sunday morning with my friends, It has become a ritual! I have been friends with them since school.’

One of our clients turned 100 years old!🥳

Happy birthday🥳

Chido asked her what the secret is to live to 100 years old. MF said 'well if I tell you that, it won't be a secret anymore'.🤣

She said that the carers look after her so well so she isn't going anywhere anytime soon!🩷

At primary homecare we are very proud of all the carers🌟

The House of Commons will decide this Wednesday, March 19, on the National Insurance Contributions Bill…a decision that could devastate adult social care if urgent action isn’t taken.
⚠️ FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
• 73% of care providers will be forced to refuse new care packages without immediate government support (Care Provider Alliance, Nov 2024).
• 47% of providers are already preparing to hand back contracts because local authority fees don’t cover real costs (Providers Unite Survey, Feb 2025).
• Councils can now only afford basic social care services, pushing people into crisis and breaching The Care Act.
This Bill must include an exemption for social care, or providers will collapse, and thousands will be left without care.

Glycerol is often used to create the slush effect. But in high quantities, especially to small children, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

That’s why current advice says slushies with glycerol are not recommended for children under five. And, older children should be limited to just one slush a day.

But slushies have been back in the news this week, with new research suggesting the age threshold may need to be even higher.

Random act of kindness day❤️

Whether it is helping someone carry their bag,
Holding a door open,
Making someone a cup of tea. Any act of kindness goes a long way.

‘Kindness’

By Edgar Albert Guest

One never knows
How far a word of kindness goes;
One never sees
How far a smile of friendship flees.
Down, through the years,
The deed forgotten reappears.

One kindly word
The souls of many here has stirred.
Man goes his way
And tells with every passing day,
Until life’s end:
“Once unto me he played the friend.”

We cannot say
What lips are praising us to-day.
We cannot tell
Whose prayers ask God to guard us well.
But kindness lives
Beyond the memory of him who gives.
