I’m currently with some really hard feelings after losing my dog and I’m learning so much.

Until you address the body, the mind will be trying to make sense of what’s happening and try to think the way out of feeling this way.

When I started working with what was happening in my body, I began uncovering patterns and beliefs I didn’t even realise were there. Things that were affecting how I responded to life.

THAT I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT!!

That process has helped me move through challenges with more clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

I’ve got a 1:1 space for anyone who wants to explore a somatic approach to navigating difficult emotions so you’re not just coping, but actually understanding what’s underneath and moving forward with intention.

“What is the main cause of stress in your life?”

The answer was, “I don’t really get stressed anymore!!!”

This lady was stressed in her NHS job because of all the paperwork that it entailed..

For many years her husband suggested she left and then when her Mum became ill, this was the catalyst to do so. She cared for her Mum which transitioned her from -“all that she knew” and since she passed has found a job that she loves…

However there was one thing that causes stress now..

Watch for the best bit at the end 🤗

What’s the biggest theme that causes stress for you?

Work?
Money?
Relationships?

There are two sides to every story, they say.

As I move through the uncomfortable feelings of losing Dougie, I’m noticing that there are moments where my mind wants to pull me deeper into sadness.

For example replaying where we used to walk, what used to be.

Then there are moments where I see that I can choose something different… to smile at where I am, right now.

Every choice carries both a positive and a negative. The mind has a way of adding layer upon layer of story, often creating more suffering in an attempt to avoid feeling.

But with a little awareness, we can begin to shift to notice the parts of the story that support us, and give those space to grow.

We don’t ignore pain. It’s about creating enough observation in the mind so the body feels safe enough to be felt.

Because when we allow the body to show us how it feels, that’s where relief, comfort, and even growth become possible.

If you’ve been through something and nothing seems to relieve it, it might be a sign that the body is still holding onto something.

Like a warning light on a car, it’s asking for attention, not avoidance.
There are ways to work with this gently and effectively if this resonates with you, I offer support through 1:1 sessions (in person and online) as well as group spaces.

When grief hits…

The shock, the disbelief, the everything else!!

Observing where the mind wants to go when the body is in so much pain..

This story is one that hits very hard and also what else it’s exposing.

Dougie was my brothers dog who really was such a vital part of coping when James chose to no longer be here.

He wasn’t an ordinary dog, he climbed trees, came out skating with me, his little face set off so many smiles

As I observed myself during this process I noticed the different parts that showed up, the ways my mind searched frantically to try and take the feeling away

Even when I know and teach people to feel and listen to their body I saw the fight my mind put up for this one.

Heart break 💔

I want you to know that I am always here for anyone that feels grief, anxiety, pain of any sort. I’ve searched all over the world to find ways of healing and I live it.

Learning to respond to challenges and grow from them, rather than getting stuck and consumed by them is a choice that I know the consequences of both.

It so sad 😢

Thank you Dougie for the massive part you played in my life 💞

I will share some of my favourite photos

I have always had spontaneous and what I think are hilarious ideas, however voicing them with excitement nobody else seemed to think so 😂😢

on the other hand, not only laughs her head off but she then grows the idea, we laugh even more and then discuss how we make it happen…

Together we began challenging our comfort zones dancing at the park for our fun way of working out in nature, throughout this experience we have learnt so much from the different interactions of all the passers by.

Today we had an after party in town for next level and amongst this process we have been interviewing people in the streets on the topics of anxiety and education.

We grow, we learn and have a huge amount of fun whatever we do.

I am so grateful and what feels so good is wherever we go we share the fun and spread the positivity ✨💫

The key is to get the mind out of the way so the body can activate healing 🕊️

So many mind concepts get in the way, we meet what’s there as the body shows us ✨

Anxiety is like a radar that goes off, an alarm from the body trying to get your minds attention 👋

Like a crying child holding out its hand wanting to show you something.... 😢

The results of listening to it is life changing.💫

In a world full of ways to distract yourself away from your power

Away from your body….

How do we learn what we can and can’t trust to be able to grow?

I’ve filtered through the spiritual field and seen many red herrings, there’s nothing more powerful than the intelligence of the body leading the way

No structure no formula just a willingness to attune to what’s alive in the moment. Your body keeps the score and knows what to do.

Learn to filter through distractions and to be solid in your own body knowing to decide from there. Is there anything more helpful?

Anxiety makes it murky, we can begin there.

This is another snippet from the beautiful conversation I had with 💞✨

You will be able to feel more in your body by being in company with others. Here I have a lovely conversation about this with what a joy to be in her company, this is a glimpse and I’ve got more coming soon…

Learning how to train the mind to respond to the feelings will set you on the truest path to understand yourself and where fear holds you back

There are parts of us so hidden that we can’t access these alone- if you want to truly change you need someone to train your mind to respond to your body somatically

Imagine we are playing one big game and our interactions with others hold codes or keys to unlock other levels within us

Trusting the feelings in our bodies directs us towards how we respond and relate to others, knowing who’s good for our growth, who’s inspiring to learn from, who’s there for a lesson or who’s for friendship, partnership or whatever else

It becomes a fun game to explore when you see life this way.
Love grows and fear separates
