Stress is inevitable. Drought, heat, low light and wear all place turf under pressure.

Surface decline does not begin when colour fades or density drops. It begins earlier, as the plant responds internally to stress conditions.

Turf moves through a predictable sequence as stress increases. The early stages are not visible, but physiological changes are already taking place. As stress continues, visible symptoms develop and growth slows.

In his article, Henry Bechelet outlines the six stages of turf stress, explaining how plants move from initial response through to survival and, when conditions improve, recovery.

This is what changing turf’s response to stress looks like...

This powerful image shows two perennial ryegrass leaves from a controlled laboratory senescence assay after 15 days in complete darkness.

The leaf treated with MTU® plus pidolic acid retained green colour compared with the water-only control, showing a slower rate of chlorophyll breakdown under sustained dark stress.

Stress is inevitable. Greenmaster Liquid Advance brings these same biostimulants together with liquid nutrition to help turf respond more effectively when pressure builds.
