I saw this in a local Tesco this week.

We completely disagree with the top sticker on this cabinet.

An AED can be used by anyone, even if they are not trained. The instructions on them are clear, they tell you what to do and the call handler will tell you what to do too.

Obviously someone with some training will do it a bit quicker but anyone can use one.

Join us for our Outdoor Pursuits First Aid Course on 8-9 Sep, based near Claydon in beautiful Barham, Suffolk. This is the 16-hour course required by most National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for outdoor qualifications and it’s going to be a great one!

Day 1 will be spent indoors, getting to grips with essential first aid theory and practice.

Day 2? We’re heading into the woods at Queech Woodland Activities for realistic, hands-on outdoor scenarios in a fantastic woodland setting.

This course is ideal for anyone involved in outdoor activities, from instructors and leaders to enthusiastic adventurers. You’ll come away with the confidence and skills to deal with emergencies in remote environments.

Another spotted on return from holiday at the airport.

I also like the medical screens too. Good idea for such a public place. I wonder how many times a year they get used 🧐

Even on holiday we look out for AEDs!!

There was also a warning about weaver fish at this beach in North Wales. I spoke to the guy there and he said he treats about 10 people a year here.

He’s also had 5 himself over the years. An avid surfer and his own words “I should know better and take my own advice on footwear”
