Meet Finley. At just 12 years old, Finley is shaving his head to show support for his nanny, Sharon, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

💙Finley wanted to do something meaningful to stand alongside his nanny during her treatment, and decided to shave his head in support of the Woolverstone Centre at Ipswich Hospital. The Woolverstone Centre provides care and treatment for oncology, haematology and radiotherapy patients, including Sharon.

Every donation supports the incredible staff who provide comfort, care and treatment to patients when they need it most. You can still donate to Finley’s brave shave by visiting: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/rebecca-garner-finleysfundraiser?utm_medium=CF&utm_source=CL&fbclid=IwY2xjawPIdRZleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF4QXZ6OXJZaGtYQzlaQjRTc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQPNTE0NzcxNTY5MjI4MDYxAAEeHsjYKn5OCFiUiGJdle80AsGytkI_Uu5dHRtG7BY20Ejd5PbFlY4ahf4LuNg_aem_BFJ1nY9b60EamEZS4QMiig

We’re delighted to share the opening of our new Woolverstone Dispensary at Ipswich Hospital 🎉

Designed especially for oncology, haematology and radiotherapy patients, the new pharmacy helps patients receive their medication more quickly, in a calmer, dedicated space away from the main outpatient pharmacy.

Located in the Woolverstone Centre, this new dispensary provides a quieter, more convenient service for patients who often require frequent prescriptions as part of their treatment. By being separate from the hospital’s main pharmacy in Central Outpatients, it helps to reduce waiting times and ease pressure on patients during what can already be a stressful time.

⏱️ Prescriptions can be ready in as little as 30 minutes
📱 Patients can receive MyChart notifications when medication is ready
💙 Proudly funded by Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity thanks to our generous supporters💙

💙 Thank you Whip Street Motors LTD 💙

Thanks to the continued generosity of local family firm Whip Street Motors Ltd, 320 PICC line covers have been purchased for patients in Ipswich Hospital’s Woolverstone Centre.

These specialist covers help keep PICC lines dry and comfortable during bathing and showering, supporting patients’ comfort, dignity and independence during treatment.

We’re so grateful for their ongoing support and the real difference this will make to patients when they need it most.

Thank you 🫶

💙Wonderful Act of Support 💙

We are so grateful to supporter Sam May and his dad Chris, who organised a fantastic Golf Tournament at Thorpeness Golf Club in the summer ☀️🏌️⛳️

Thank you to all the teams who attended and generously supported this fundraising event for the Cancer Wellbeing Centre💙

This cause is close to their hearts, as Sam is currently receiving cancer treatment at Ipswich Hospital. Sam was delighted to attend a presentation at the hospital with his wife Eloise, joined by staff from Radiotherapy and the Cancer Wellbeing teams, to present an incredible donation of £13,500.

This amazing gift will provide a much-needed boost, and we are truly thankful.

Sam also wanted to pass on his heartfelt thanks, saying he has been “treated so well by all the staff teams.”

💫 Thank you to everyone involved for your kindness, generosity, and support💙
