✨ Meet Mark ✨

We’re delighted to introduce Mark, who has been part of the Barham Care Centre team for the past two years.

Mark has recently been promoted to Senior Carer, and you’ll now see him supporting the nursing team in his new role — a well-deserved step up!

With over 15 years of experience in care, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to everything he does. When asked what he enjoys most about working at Barham, he said it’s the brilliant team — something we’re incredibly proud of too.

Mark is also going the extra mile by taking part in the Midnight Walk this May, showing his commitment both in and out of work. And if he could have any superpower? 🦸‍♂️ He’d choose super healing — which feels very fitting for someone so devoted to caring for others.

We’d like to take a moment to recognise one of our amazing volunteers, Keith 👏

Keith is a fantastic member of the Barham Care Home family. He’s here most days, always happy to lend a hand and can often be found pottering about in the gardens, helping to keep them looking lovely for everyone to enjoy 🌿

His kindness, dedication and friendly presence make such a difference to daily life in the home, and we are so grateful for everything he does ❤️

Here he is pictured with his lovely wife Ann, who is a resident here with us – a truly special part of our community.

🌙✨ Barham Care Home Supporting St Elizabeth’s Hospice Midnight Walk ✨🌙

We’re proud to share that members of our team at Barham Care Home will be taking part in the St Elizabeth’s Hospice Midnight Walk on 16th May 💙

Starting at Christchurch Park, the walk will take participants through the streets of Ipswich and up to the peaceful hospice grounds, where there will be time to pause, reflect and remember loved ones.

As they make their way back into the town centre and cross the finish line, they’ll know they’ve been part of something truly meaningful and special. ✨

🌿☀️ A Lovely Day Out at Barham Care Home ☀️🌿

Hayley and Tracy from our wonderful Activities Team were out yesterday with a few of our residents, enjoying a trip to Needham Lake. 💚

They had a lovely walk around the lake, taking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings, followed by a well-earned stop at the Duck and Teapot for a cuppa ☕🦆

Days like these remind us how special it is to get out and about, especially as we start to see the signs of spring 🌸

🌸 Mothering Sunday at Barham Care Home 🌸

This Sunday, we’ll be celebrating Mothering Sunday here at Barham Care Home with a special Mother’s Lunch Celebration.

Our event is dedicated to honouring and appreciating all the wonderful women in our community who have played a motherly role in the lives of others. This includes mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and all mother figures who have given love, guidance and care throughout their lives.

The day will be all about creating a warm, joyful atmosphere where our residents feel valued, celebrated and appreciated for the love and dedication they have shared with their families and communities. 💐

In the lead-up to the weekend, residents and the team have been busy writing cards and making small gifts, ready to share with everyone as part of our celebrations.

We look forward to a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, appreciation and special moments together. 💝

🎶 A Visit from Pop Chorus! 🎶

We had a fantastic time at Baylham Care Home this week when Pop Chorus came to visit! This talented group is always a firm favourite with our residents, and the room was soon filled with smiles, music, and plenty of energy.

Residents were encouraged to join in with the singing, dancing, and fun actions – and they certainly did! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the lively atmosphere together.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming Pop Chorus back for their next visit! 💃🎤🎵

A lovely morning with mi mi who brought stars in their eyes to Barham care centre thankyou the residents and staff really enjoyed it this afternoon we have been doing some Easter baskets but nobody is going to see them until Easter hope you all had a lovely weekend
