COMMUNICATE : Independent Speech & Language Therapy An Independent Speech & Language Therapy service for people with communication difficulties throughout Suffolk and East Anglia.

COMMUNICATE is a team of speech and language therapists; offering a specialist service across Suffolk and in to East Anglia. Our expertise enable us to effectively treat all paediatric communication difficulties, making therapy fun and engaging for the child but informative for parents. We also treat all adult communication difficulties, working with them to set and achieve meaningful and motivati

ng goals. We see individual clients in the setting of their choice or in our clinic. COMMUNICATE also fulfil a number of contracts with early years settings, primary and secondary schools and special schools. We deliver a complete speech and language therapy service to our settings, dovetailing in with the NHS team and helping those settings to decrease their SLCN levels and increase their confidence in identification and management. Our training department regularly holds training courses on a variety of communication topics, these are often held at our clinic and range from 2hours to a full day. We also deliver bespoke training packages when requested, written and delivered to the client's wishes.

A big ‘Thank You!!’ to our winner of this half term’s Communicate Excellence Award!

Becky has been a repeat nominee, so we were so happy to share that she had won.
Here’s some of what our Therapist Megan, shared in her nomination:

Introducing, our lovely Charlotte!

You might be chatting to Charlotte as part of an initial contact or conversation when you get in touch with Communicate. She handles all of our initial enquiries, and co ordinates Therapist availability so that we can put families in touch with the best matched Therapist.

She loves supporting individuals with speech sounds, and has a sweet tooth!

Her favourite thing to do outside of work is spend time with her friends and family 🥰

We love having her as part of the team!

On Monday, two of our Therapists Chloe, and Ellie, were lucky enough to attend some incredible training delivered by the wonderful Nerys Hughes.

We learnt so much more about sensory processing development, and integrating support strategies into daily activities and environments.

A big thank you to the The Willows Primary School and Orwell Multi Academy Trust, for including us in this fantastic CPD opportunity. We can’t wait to embed our new learning into our practice!
