Yesterday at Avocet we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating National Floral Day 🌸🌿

A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful Head Housekeeper, Gina, and her amazing children for hosting such a beautiful and creative floral art session. The room was filled with colour, laughter, and so much talent – it was truly special to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the moment together.

We are so grateful for the time, effort, and heart you put into making it such a lovely experience for everyone. 💐✨

Avocet staff recently attended a fantastic Engagement Training session led by our lovely Hannah Mulholland, Head of Lifestyle and Community Engagement.

The team had an amazing time learning new ideas, sharing experiences, and exploring creative ways to enhance meaningful interactions with our residents. Everyone absolutely loved the training and can’t wait to start using the engagement boxes to bring even more joy, connection, and stimulation to daily life at Avocet.

A huge thank you to Hannah for such an inspiring and hands-on session — we’re excited to put everything into practice!

Last month, something truly magical happened ✨

Jill, one of our wonderful housekeepers here at Avocet Court, was left in awe after hearing wolves howling in the early hours of the morning from her home in Ipswich.

Jill, who leads our monthly Wildlife & Conservation Club and cares for our beautiful woodland area, described the experience as “out of this world – just incredible.” 🐺🌙

Her passion for nature brings so much joy to our residents, from building bird boxes and planting bulbs to spotting deer, hedgehogs and garden birds in our wildlife area.

We’re so proud to see her story featured by the BBC News.

Avocet residents had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year! 🧧🎉 We enjoyed a Chinese food tasting, shared New Year fortunes, tested our skills with chopstick games, and took part in a fun Chinese-themed quiz. Lots of smiles, laughter, and great team spirit all around!

Valentine’s Day isn’t only about couples and candlelit dinners. It’s about celebrating all the love that fills our lives — the friends who show up, the family who supports us, the coworkers who cheer us on, and the self-love we’re learning to give ourselves every day. 💞

We hosted a beautiful Valentine’s Couples Lunch, celebrating love, friendship, and special memories shared over the years. 💕
It was so lovely to see our wonderful couples enjoying a delicious meal together, reminiscing, laughing, and making new memories.
Love truly has no age — and today was a perfect reminder of that. 💌🥂
