This morning, we headed over to the Avocet Arms to get started on the spring cleaning and preparing the pub for the season ahead ☀️ The sun was shining, the music was playing, and we had to reward all our hard work with a cheeky mocktail ☺️🍹

🐣✨ **Easter Fun at Work!** ✨🐣

Our Easter draw brought plenty of smiles and a little bit of suspense! Staff had to pick a mystery egg from the bag… and inside were our lucky winners 🎉🍫

Yesterday was filled with smiles, laughter, and the sweet smell of freshly baked treats! 🧁🐣

Our residents had a wonderful time baking Easter cakes together, getting creative with decorations and enjoying every moment. It was lovely to see everyone joining in, sharing stories, and celebrating the season. 💛

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming wildlife expert Simon Watts, who delivered an engaging and informative wildlife workshop for our residents and staff. 🐦🌿

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the natural world around us, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from such a knowledgeable speaker. A big thank you to Simon for sharing his passion and expertise with us!

Avocet had a very special visitor in the woodland area today — a beautiful goldcrest! 🌿✨ One of the smallest birds in Europe and also one of the shyest, but today he felt right at home and loved having a bath in our pond 💧🐦

🍓🥤 Smoothie Making for Hydration Week 🥤🍓

As part of Hydration and Nutrition Week 💧🥗, our residents enjoyed a fun and refreshing smoothie-making session 😊

Using a delicious mix of fruits 🍓🫐, the room was filled with a sweet, fruity aroma that instantly lifted everyone’s spirits 💐 The vibrant colours of the blended berries brought plenty of smiles, and the cool, smooth texture made for a wonderful sensory treat ❄️

Each smoothie was bursting with fresh, tangy flavour, making them a perfect and enjoyable way to stay hydrated 🥤✨ They were such a hit that not a single drop was left 😋

A lovely activity that supported hydration while bringing everyone together 💙
