Job Summary

A&A is looking for hard-working, honest and committed individuals who are willing to offer their interests, expertise, time and support to work with those who may require some guidance and assistance in navigating their day to day lives, or more.

We are seeking part-time and full-time members of staff, who are willing to offer their time to support others, with learning difficulties and mental health. A&A offers a highly competitive salary, starting at £8.30 per hour for full-time permanent staff, with the option of going up to £11.15 per hour through exemplary roles.

All training, induction and support will be provided in-house, with further bespoke training provided.

Job Description

Support individuals in leading independent, involved and integrated lives within the community.
Promoting involvement within the local community, utilizing wider choice of services and encouraging individuals to learn new skills.
Keep and record accurate records of individuals on a day to day basis, designed to adapt support plans are a person grows with time.
To participate in the provision of a range of stimulating and creative activities, both indoors and outdoors, using local facilities, e.g. swimming pool, local clubs, and other age appropriate activities.
Provide assistance in self-help skills, to give clients the opportunity to learn new skills, such as, assist in teaching clients skills of home-making, domestic and personal care.
The role requires the post holder to:

To be open, honest, trustworthy and empathetic
To be flexible to the needs of the clients and service.
To be a good role model at all times
To act in a professional manner
Establish and maintain good communication and co-operation with clients
Promote good relationships
To maintain statutory training requirements.

Job Type / Category

A successful, permanent,full-time member of staff, with minimal previous experience, with sleep ins can earn a starting salary of up to £22,500 a year. This role is for 37.5 hours per week, not including sleep ins.
