The History of ESMA

🔹The Equine Sports Massage Association was founded in 1995 by five graduates of the first Diploma in Equine Sports Massage, developed by Mary Bromiley, a renowned physiotherapist

🔸Mary was instrumental in pioneering the application of human physiotherapy techniques to horses and created the world’s first rehabilitation center for both horse and rider

🔹ESMA’s mission was to ensure high standards in equine sports massage through qualified and insured therapists, maintaining a strict code of practice.
Mary, a respected figure in both the equine and veterinary fields, served as the Official Olympic Physiotherapist for the New Zealand team and worked with top trainers in British racing
