Simon Goldsmith is taking on the TCS London Marathon to raise funds for the hospice!

"Since our family lost our Dad, David, at the hospice in 2009 when he was just 58, I've regularly organised fundraising for them as it's such a worthwhile cause and a place that will inevitably be a part of all the lives of people around Ipswich at some stage. It's an extraordinary place.

"Only five years later our Mum, Jo, passed away there at just 59 years old after a very tough time for her, coming to terms with both losing her husband and being diagnosed with very early onset Alzheimer's disease. She was incredible. Once again, she was cared for wonderfully at the hospice. We all were.

"As, I turn 50 myself in 2023 I have decided to do a big fundraiser in memory of our parents, who ordinarily would still be here, and would just love being grandparents to their now five grandchildren."

Wills Month - Jess' Story.
One person who was motivated to create her Will, by a previous hospice Wills Month, is Jessica Prosser, Trusts Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice.

“I would encourage anyone thinking of drafting their Will to do so. It’s a simple process, where you are guided by a professional, and once your Will is written, you have such peace of mind and you can also support a fantastic local good cause at the same time.”
