Good afternoon everyone. Following on from a session with a client today discussing voice and breath support, I thought it would be helpful to explain what this actually is.
Breath support is an essential element of voicing and singing that allows professional voice users such as teachers and singers to produce strong, resonant, and consistent sounds. It involves the coordinated use of the diaphragm, intercostal muscles, and abdominal muscles to control the flow of air into and out of the lungs.
If you or anyone you know would benefit from discussing this and other aspects of voice techniques do get in touch.

Morning everyone!
Following a session on posture with a client this week I thought I would post about this today.
Posture significantly impacts voice production by affecting breath control, vocal tract alignment, and overall vocal efficiency. Proper posture provides optimal airflow and support for the vocal cords, leading to a stronger, more resonant, and flexible voice. Conversely, poor posture can restrict breathing, compress the vocal tract, and create tension, resulting in a weaker, strained, and less flexible voice.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR VOICE.
Particularly in this weather, staying hydrated is crucial to keeping your vocal cords and therefore your voice healthy.
When dehydrated, the vocal folds become dry and sticky, making it harder for them to vibrate smoothly, leading to hoarseness, voice breaks, and increased vocal effort.
So keep sipping throughout the day, consider increasing your usual intake during this warm spell.
