❌ Not making a decision IS a decision.

I hate making decisions, I always have and find it really difficult, no matter how big or small.

By not making a decision, it can feel like pressing pause ⏯️, but in reality, not choosing is still an active choice and it shapes your life just as much as a conscious “yes” or “no.”

For example:
👉 Not deciding whether to cut someone off means you’ve decided to keep them in your life.
👉 Not deciding whether to leave a job means you’ve decided to stay in it.
👉 Not deciding whether to start therapy means you’ve decided to keep coping the same way.
👉 Not deciding whether to change a habit means you’ve decided to maintain it.

We often forget that indecision keeps us on the current path. And sometimes, that path is exactly what we don’t want.

💭 Ask yourself two things: If I continue making this same “non-decision,” where could I be in six months? If I choose to make a decision, where could I be in six months?

🚨 Emotions are signals - not enemies.

🙂🙃 In CBT, we focus on identifying thoughts that shape how we feel, and then practicing healthier ways to respond.

🧠✨ Processing emotions = not bottling your feelings and not beating yourself up for feeling them. It’s giving yourself the space to feel and heal. 💛

Am I just stressed, a little down or anxious…or do I need therapy? 😵‍💫

Sometimes, we just need some time, rest and coping strategies to feel like ourselves again 🧘‍♀️

Other times, we might need a bit of extra support if that doesn’t help by itself 🫴🏻

Life naturally brings ups and downs. Stress, challenges, and tough moments are part of being human. But sometimes what we’re experiencing goes beyond “just a rough patch”, and needing help with that is also human ❤️‍🩹

I am here if you want to check in with me and figure out what you might need 🙋🏻‍♀️

Ever notice how hard it is to just… take a compliment? Or how perfectionism sneaks in and makes everything feel “not good enough”? 🫠

The good news? These patterns can change and self esteem is something that definitely can improve!

Little shifts like focusing on your strengths, surrounding yourself with positive people, and even doing something kind for someone else can boost your self-esteem more than you think.

And if you’re reading this going, “yeah, but how do I actually DO that?” → that’s exactly what I help people with in CBT. You don’t have to figure it out alone. 🌱 🧩

✨ In 120 days, it will be January 1st 2026. How do you want to feel when you step into a new year?

💡 A lot can change in just a few months with the right tools and support if you take control.

🚶‍♀️ Taking the first step might feel daunting, but staying stuck or choosing to break the cycle will take the same amount of energy from you. The difference? One leads to positive change and the other keeps you stuck.

🧩 With CBT, we’ll work together to shift unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping skills, and help you feel more grounded and confident.

🌿 Therapy isn’t scary, staying stuck is.

💌 I have limited spaces left in my diary for therapy in 2025 - click the link in my bio or send me a message if you’d like to book your intro call for a time that works for you!

🍁 Happy 1st of September!

I can’t believe we are into this part of the year already 😮

🌀 The change in seasons can impact our mood - as we shift into autumn, ask yourself “are my thoughts helping me or holding me back?”

September can often feel like a bit of a ‘reset’, but if that feeling brings you pressure instead of peace, here are some CBT strategies to try 🌻 🦊 🧶

💌 DM me or use the link in my bio if you’d like more support on how to navigate change, your thoughts, mood or behaviour 💭

💚✨ Big news! ✨ 💚

Although I’ve been fully qualified as a CBT therapist for a few months, today I’m celebrating as I have officially received my BABCP Accreditation as a Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapist 🎉

This recognition means a lot 💚

To me: it represents official recognition years of training, practice, and a commitment to evidence-based therapy.

To you: being accredited with the BABCP means you can trust that therapy with me is safe, ethical, and effective (and you can find me on the official CBT register 😉).

For anyone in the therapy world, you’ll know this is a big professional goal, and I’m so happy to have achieved it.

Next week I have my official graduation ceremony - I’m excited to walk across that stage and it’s even more special now 👩🏻‍🎓

💚💚💚 It would mean a lot if you shared a little green heart below to mark this milestone with me 💚 💚💚

🔋 Your energy works like a battery: if you wait until it’s empty, it takes much longer to recharge. Taking breaks earlier helps maintain focus, protect wellbeing, and reduce the risk of burnout 🪫

🔥 In CBT we often talk about early intervention and noticing the signs when it comes to self-care, it isn’t just for crisis moments. By planning rest and recovery before difficulties peak, you build resilience and sustain your energy over time.

Prevention is ALWAYS more effective than recovery ❤️‍🩹

🔎 Cognitive lenses and interpretation 👓

In CBT, we explore how the way we interpret situations can directly influence our emotions and behaviours.

The same event can be seen through different “lenses”:

🔎 Negative lens → often leads to anxious and self-critical thoughts.
🔎 Neutral lens → encourages balance and acceptance.
🔎 Positive lens → supports confidence, motivation and resilience.

By learning to be more aware of the lens you are using, you can begin to shift your perspective and choose more helpful ways of interpreting experiences.

✨ It’s not always about changing the situation itself, but changing how we see it ✨
